I think we all love our trees here in Pleasantview. We are fortunate to have many varied species in our neighbourhood yards, boulevards and public spaces.

Hi neighbours! Les Causeries is the children's playschool that operates out of the community league hall and they are running their fundraiser casino Oct. 28 and 29! They would really appreciate any more help if you can offer some of your time.

Greenshack is running at Angus Murray Playground (beside the hall) Monday to Friday 2pm to 5pm. This year we are participating in a pilot program that will see the shack move indoors on days where the air quality is poor. The shack will be using the Marshal Centre as an indoor location. Send the kids over to enjoy the fun.

St. Jacob's Syriac Orthodox Church is hosting a Festival at the hall on Saturday. There will be music, movies and cultural activities. Stalls selling food and drinks will be set up outside in the parking lot. Open to the public, stroll over and enjoy some delicious flavours from southern India. All funds raised help support new church projects.

- hear about what we did last year
- hear about what we WILL do in the future!
- have the opportunity to join the board yourself!
- let us know what's on your mind with the league
A few things to consider and myths busted about joining the board!

-You're eligible if you're 18 or older! Board experience can be a very attractive thing for your CV
