Brookview Community League *The City of Edmonton recently went through an initiative to name each ward with aboriginal names. Ward 9 (including Brookview) name is Pehisiwin.

Brookview Community League is a volunteer, non-profit organization that strives to enhance the Bulyea Heights community by hosting programs and events and providing useful services and opportunities. Meaning: Pays respect to the Thunderbird. This ward, from an aerial view, is shaped like a pihêsiw (thunderbird) and contains a ceremonial site. Pronunciation: PAY-HE-SEE-WIN. We also ask that you refrain from tagging other people in any photos you may post on this page, as we wish to keep the privacy of all our residents. A huge thank you to all the 30+ people who volunteered with the annual Brookview Spring Community Clean Up! It is heart warming to see so many people pitch in and keep our neighbourhood looking great. Also, a shout out to Councillor Mike Elliot for stopping by too.
