Our final free August movie night is coming up: Sunday, August 30 at 7pm (doors open at 6:40pm) at Malmo Community hall.
KUNG FU PANDA - Will clumsy Po win the day when danger comes to the Valley of Peace?
*$1 and $2 snacks available for purchase.
Feel free to bring your own comfy camping chair.

More movie nights coming up in future months.
For Sept and Oct, though, we're looking forward to the return of monthly Firepit nights on Fridays. Watch for more details soon!

We came, we laughed, we cheered! A BUG'S LIFE 🐜 🐜 🐞 🦋 🪲 🦗 was a hoot and enjoyed by the young kids and adults too. (Can't believe this movie is almost 30 years old).

***Snacks available for purchase for a loonie or a twonie (cash only).
Flik, Princess Atta, the circus bugs, and even Hopper and his henchmen are all waiting for you!
Bring your camping/patio chair or a pillow/blanket if you want.

Speed weeding: Friday, August 14 @ 7:15-8pm
Meet in front of the hall.
Bring gloves, bug spray, hat and any gardening tools you find helpful for getting out big weeds.
In case of a storm, this event is cancelled but the forecast indicates it should be sunny and mild.

A small crowd for our first Monday Night at the Movies in Malmo: Paddington in Peru. We packed our marmalade sandwiches for the adventure and had fun!

See you on Monday, Aug 10 for COOL RUNNINGS. 🛷 John Candy and the Jamaican Olympic Bobsled team - based on a true story. A fun movie for the whole family. Maybe we'll have some Jamaican patties at the snack bar! 🍫🥤 🥟 Doors open at 6:40pm. 😊

CLARIFICATION: August 7 COMMUNITY MEETING
There has been some confusion and some concern about the upcoming August 7 "Community Meeting on the Referendum". This event is not endorsed or otherwise sponsored by our Community League. But, our Malmo Community Hall has been rented by a group - Alberta Women for Independence - for the purpose of extending an invite to our residents to have discussions about the upcoming Alberta Referendum in October.

This rental and this meeting are legal and allowed; checks were done prior to the rental being accepted/approved.

The Community League did not have any input nor prior knowledge about the flyer. Feedback about the "Community Meeting" wording has been sent to the group since that seems to have been the source of some of the confusion and concern.

Whether or not you agree with the group's views, please be respectful. Thank you.
