Westmount Community League Westmount Community League - making a great neighbourhood better! The Westmount Community League (WCL) helps shape our community.

At its simplest, the WCL is a group of neighbours who volunteer to organize events, activities and programs in our community. Formed in 1919, we are one of the oldest Leagues in Edmonton. We believe in the power of neighbours knowing neighbours. When you purchase a Community League membership, you help bring neighbours together, improve community amenities, and enhance the quality of life of area residents.

The Child & Youth Summer pass will be available for purchase on movelearnplay.ca or at your nearest recreation centre from June 10 - August 31, 2026.

For $25 (2-12 yrs) or $35 (13-17yrs) children and youth have unlimited access to all of our recreation centres and outdoor pools (weather permitting). That’s over 50% off our regular rates! This pass is valid for 30 days from activation date. Please note some amenities are age specific.

There is a new business in the community, Augusta studio (above the rink house)! Come out to their upcoming event.

An evening of live fashion drawing in the Augusta studio featuring professional models wearing custom Augusta collections. Designed for artists, fashion lovers, students, and curious beginners alike.

A relaxed, welcoming space to practice illustration, observe garments in motion, and connect with Edmonton’s creative community.

6:00 – 7:00 PM — Beginner’s Fashion Illustration Lesson: A guided introduction to fashion drawing, proportions, movement, and sketching techniques.

7:15 – 8:45 PM — Open Drawing Session: An open live drawing session with professional models styled in Augusta custom pieces.

In the reimagined preschool space presents - an evening of art: June 2nd, 6-8:45pm, $30 The evening will begin with a beginner-friendly fashion illustration session that Maria, the designer, will be teaching in the first hour, focused on getting comfortable with gesture, proportion, and approaching the figure through a fashion lens. After that, artists will move into an open drawing session. There will be live models styled in Augusta looks.

Looking for Friday night plans? Join the Westmount Community League for Not Your Regular Book Club!

Friday May 22, 2026 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Community League
No need to read anything ahead of time - but come ready to listen to people pitch their best reads. Staff from the library and local bookstores will join us and if you feel passionately about a book, you can get up a pitch it too! It will be a great opportunity to meet other readers and socialize.
