Exciting news! Summer ministry kicks off this week, and our first team is hitting the road tomorrow! They're traveling all the way from California to Old Massett, BC. These amazing OLu students aren't just learning about faith at their school; they're taking VBS on the road! They'll be sharing the incredible love of Jesus with kids in the North. Please join us in praying for safe travels, open hearts to hear the gospel, and for God to move powerfully through these young ambassadors. Check out some photos from last year's adventure. It was an exciting Crazy Hat/Hair Day at Zion Lutheran Christian School in Prince George, BC, when Nathan shared about our cross-cultural ministry in northern communities. The students listened with great focus, and one can only wonder what seeds of inspiration were sown that day. Let's come together in prayer that the influencers—teachers, parents, grandparents, and others—will help nurture these seeds, fostering a strong foundation and deep roots in Christ. One day, a student may join a LAMP mission team or support the mission, carrying this message forward!

We were free to spend this time serving them in a time of distress. You'll see the team gathered on the steps of St. Peter's Anglican Church, singing alongside Pastor Jake at the local radio station, a heartwarming visit with a new mom (once a VBS student), and the excitement of "fishing" at VBS. Even Pastor Jake couldn't resist getting in on the action! Each snapshot tells a story of connection, laughter, and the joy of togetherness!

Last summer, there was a profound moment with the Gitanyow mission team and an elder in the community. Volunteer Scott mentioned how this dialogue was his best experience and impacted him: "An extended conversation between our team and an older woman, who had experienced the residential school. Powerful and emotional."

On the Wednesday evening, we had a card-making class for the ladies of the community. The attendance felt low and disappointing, but then God revealed that He had brought exactly the right ladies to the table in the exact numbers. As a team, we were able to put our hands on and pray one-on-one for a woman who was struggling with major health issues. Not what we were expecting, but such a blessing! - Karen, volunteer in Witset, BC.

Our missionary pastor for BC, Nathan Schmidt, recently shared about LAMP's cross-cultural ministry at the Youth & Family Conference in Idaho, where he connected with many DCEs. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet some potential sending churches. Join us in prayer for more teams to serve with LAMP and share the gospel!

LAMP Ministry Inc. was proud to partner in the Multiethnic United in Praise Symposium, which took place on May 5-6 at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Our Executive Director, Steve Schave, alongside our visiting Missionary Deacon, Michael Gillingham, and Steve's wife, Kim, enjoyed engaging with attendees about ways to share God's love.
