You’re never too young or too old to make a difference! When Hillview Baptist Church heard about our new Steps of Hope initiative, they were eager to gather their community in support of the women and children seeking recovery at Adeara.

Steps of Hope is our new community-led, all-season, family-friendly fundraiser walk — designed to empower anyone, anywhere to host their own event and rally their circle of influence in support of Adeara.

A huge heartfelt thank you to Hillview Baptist Church for your willingness to walk, raise funds, and help make freedom from addiction possible for women.

We love that Steps of Hope is accessible for all ages and creates a meaningful (and memorable) way for communities to stand in the gap for families walking through recovery.

When a woman walks into Adeara for the first time, she is walking into a home that has been intentionally prepared for her.

A suite to call her own that has been thoroughly cleaned and refurbished by our team. Before she ever steps into Adeara, her suite has been prayed over and thoughtfully arranged with intentional touches—a welcome card with her name on it, slippers to make her feel cozy and her very own journal to document her journey—all designed to help her feel known, cared for and welcomed.

Adeara doesn't just provide shelter. Adeara is a home where women can finally exhale and feel safe enough to process years of pain and trauma and walk in healing.

Thank you to the many individuals, churches and businesses who donate either financially or items from our needs list. God is the sustaining force behind this work, and generous donors like you are faithful partners who help bring it to life.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue building out the Recovery Support Program, made possible through a Mental Health and Addiction Grant.

With this additional funding, our current program is being tailored to and offered to women who have left our Recovery Centre program, extending the much-needed recovery support to mothers and their children who are living independently.

Adding these 2 new positions will offer intentional and professional support to more women in our city who continue to fight for their recovery.
