✨ ASL and Deaf Culture Learning Event ✨
This event was created for hearing individuals who are interested in learning ASL and gaining a better understanding of Deaf culture. Many of the participants were medical students who wanted to improve communication access and cultural awareness when working with Deaf patients.
The afternoon included a welcome and overview of community work, a Deaf journey story with ASL interpretation and open discussion, followed by interactive ASL learning games and activities. These experiences helped participants practice basic ASL while learning directly from the Deaf community.
Events like this support education, accessibility, and stronger connections between hearing professionals and the Deaf community. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this learning space respectful and engaging.
Thank you for being part of this meaningful experience. 11/22/2025
