Valour Place Valour Place- a comfortable, temporary, fully accessible residence for soldiers, RCMP, veterans and The Valour Place committee, led by Hon. Col.

Dennis Erker, of the Loyal Edmonton Regiment, was been struck to raise $10 million to build and furnish the proposed 10,000 square foot facility of Valour Place. The board and committee membership has been drawn from both the civilian and military communities. All share a connection to the Canadian Forces. Some are current members of the CF, some are volunteers with military associations, some have traveled to Afghanistan and some have family members who have served or who are currently serving with the CF. All committee members strongly endorse and support Valour Place as an important addition to the quality of life we enjoy in Edmonton. The vision for Valour Place in Edmonton has come from within this group of dedicated volunteers. It is our intention that the vision will be realized with the construction of a state of the art facility for injured soldiers and veterans and their families who do not reside in Edmonton.

A little celebration for some very special people. 💛

We recently gathered to celebrate our amazing Valour Place volunteers — the people who show up, lend a hand, give their time, and help make Valour Place feel like home for the families who stay with us.

We also had the honour of presenting Karen Diebler with the 2026 Dennis Erker Volunteer Service Award for her incredible dedication to Valour Place!

Karen, we love all that you do — from keeping our gardens looking beautiful to always showing up for Valour Place. We’re so lucky to have you!

To every volunteer who has been part of the Valour Place family: thank you. What you do matters more than you know. 🫶

Want to get involved? We’d love to have you on the team. Check out our volunteer opportunities here: https://valourplace.ca/give-back/volunteer/ 💛

425+ days for one family, and countless reasons this house matters. 💛

When the Hansen's, a military family, from Wainwright faced a leukemia diagnosis for their daughter Freyja and a traumatic brain injury for their husband and dad, they needed somewhere steady to land in Edmonton. They found it at Valour Place.

That's what your donation makes possible for Canadian Forces families, Veterans, and First Responders every single day. Give today: http://valourplace.ca/

Happy Thanksgiving weekend from all of us at Valour Place. 🍁

Not everyone spends this weekend at their own table. Some of our families are far from home, in the middle of treatment, waiting on news. Making sure they're not alone is only possible because of the people around us.

Swipe through for a few of the reasons we're grateful this year.

From our home to yours, happy Thanksgiving. 🧡

Don't forget! We're still looking for volunteers for our fall clean-up! 🍂

Winter is on its way, and there's still work to be done: raking leaves, cleaning vents, tucking away the patio furniture, and laying fresh pathway stones.

If you've got an hour or two this Sunday, we'd love to have you.

14 years ago, Valour Place opened its doors with one belief: those who protect Canada should never have to worry about where they'll stay while they heal.

Since 2012, we've been a home away from home for Canadian Forces members, Veterans, RCMP officers, First Responders, Families of the Fallen, and their immediate family.

None of it happens without you, our volunteers, donors, and supporters. Thank you for standing with us all these years.

Want to help us keep the doors open for years to come? Grab your 50/50 tickets at the link: https://rafflebox.ca/raffle/valourplacefortune5050/

With five kids and a husband in a coma, Tshanna needed more than a hotel room. She needed a place built for running back and forth to the hospital three times a day with all of the support she needed.

Valour Place didn’t just provide proximity to both hospitals. It's amenities like a full kitchen for family meals, a basement for Nerf battles and board games, and a team that shows up with a wheelchair, a cot, or whatever else the day calls for that gave Tshanna the support she needed to make it through.

None of this happens without our donors. Your support is what keeps Valour Place ready for military, first responder and veteran families who need it most, whenever they need it.

Fall clean-up season is here!

We need volunteer hands to help us get Valour Place winter-ready - think raking leaves, cleaning vents, tucking away the patio furniture, and laying fresh pathway stones.

Every bit of work helps our Canadian heroes feel warm and at home this winter. Can you lend an hour or two?

📢 The results are in!!! Thanks to this incredible community, Walk for Valour raised $63,123 this year, crushing our $50,000 goal!

Whether you joined us in Edmonton, traveled from out of town to be there in person, or walked in your own community, you showed up for Canadian Forces members, Veterans, Police, Families of the Fallen, First Responders, and their families.

To every volunteer who gave their time and heart to make this happen, thank you. And from all of us at Valour Place, thank you to our participants and sponsors for your support and for walking with us to make a difference to families in need of hope away from home. 💙
