The INSPIRE Tour is an immersive experience featuring a brand-new play by Lawrence Aronovitch, short documentary screenings, and interactive discussions.

Our tour brings history to life through art and multimedia—sharing stories of intersectional solidarity and brave activism that laid the foundation for federal equality.

If so, the IREACH lab invites you to participate in an interview-based research study exploring how narratives of anti-fat bias shape the lives, identities, and well-being of fat q***r individuals. Enjoy fall with Fyrefly! We have tons of upcoming programming over the course of the next month and we hope you can join us! This weekend, we'll be hosting a free jewelry making workshop this evening from 6 pm - 7:30 at Education Centre South Classroom 122, and we'll be tabling at Bee Civic YEG from 1 pm - 4 pm at University Commons and 1 pm - 5 pm at the 5th annual Hullabaloo at Castle Downs YMCA.

We also have our two conferences happening the week after, both of which are at capacity. RAYE has a waitlist that you can sign up for!

We do have more programming lined up before the year ends. We're excited to share those closer to the end of the year!

We're hosting our Jewelry Making Workshop on October 2, 2026 from 6 pm - 7:30 pm at the University of Alberta's Education Centre South Classroom 122!

Bring your friends and loved ones and learn the basics of jewelry making at this free workshop and create your own customized pieces. Materials are provided and it is perfect for beginners. We welcome everyone, including allies of our 2SLGBTQ+ community!

To our Two-Spirit and Indigiq***r kin: You are sacred. Who you are is a gift to the land.

On Orange shirt day, Fyrefly wants to reaffirm our commitment to our Two-Spirit and Indigiq***r Kin. We remain steadfast in our ongoing journey of decolonization within our practices of 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy and acknowledge the importance of our Two-Spirit and Indigiq***r kin, who have always been home on this land and who contribute to the vibrancy of our community.

Some resources that Fyrefly offers include our Where the Rivers Meet Program, which is our educational program centred on Indigenous knowledge. As part of the program, we are hosting our first ever Where the Rivers Meet Conference which is now sold out (Funded by Beyond Belonging) and we also offer our Activate Your Medicine booklet created by our Where the Rivers Meet Coordinator, Rae Madge (they/she). The booklet is for Two-Spirit and Indiq***r youth but is usuable by anyone.

For additional cultural supports, we encourage you to connect with our friends at Edmonton 2 Spirit Society, Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society and First Peoples' House (for U of A students).
