⚠️ Tournament Scam Awareness⚠️

We wanted to make our hockey community aware of a tournament scam that has recently been reported. Minor hockey teams in Western Canada have been targeted with fraudulent tournament invitations, and we have become aware that similar scams are occurring in Nova Scotia.

As a reminder, we do not send personal invitations to teams, associations, or individuals for any of our tournaments.

Please take a moment to verify any tournament-related communication you receive, especially any communication that asks you to send payment or provide personal or financial information.

If something doesn’t look right, please don't hesitate to contact us directly before responding or sending any information. We would much rather have you double-check with us.

⚠️ WATCH OUT FOR TOURNAMENT SCAMS ⚠️

Fake tournament invitations are targeting hockey teams in Nova Scotia.

These invites often look real. They use association names, logos, tournament-related email addresses and copies of legitimate registration forms.

Before you click, register or pay for a tournament you weren’t expecting an invitation to take part in:

✅ Check it against our list of approved tournaments: https://hockeynovascotia.ca/admin-member/tournaments/
✅ Contact the host directly, using the organizer email on our listing (and not the one in the email)
✅ Register and pay only through the host
