7th Step Society Presents,
'The Yellow Ribbon Project' is an international movement that began in Singapore more than 20 years ago. It walks beside people leaving custody and the families that carried that sentence with them. The Yellow Ribbon Run is a way for the community to acknowledge those coming out of institutions and show support for people who have been through the justice system as well as their families, who live with the effects of that involvement too.
If we are going to reduce recidivism, we have to do it as a community.

The Yellow Ribbon Run is happening in 3 cities this year on the same day. Halifax, Montreal, and Abbotsford

Annual Yellow Ribbon Run - Join us on Saturday, September 26 as three provinces come together for this year’s Yellow Ribbon Run — Halifax, Montreal, and Abbotsford will each be hosting their own event.

Saskatchewan has passed new legislation allowing involuntary addictions treatment for people experiencing severe substance use disorders.

The province says the Compassionate Intervention Act is aimed at helping individuals who are unable to seek treatment on their own because of serious health and safety risks.
