Our Mission

Sistership Dragon Boat Association provides opportunities, through the sport of dragon boating, for people diagnosed with breast cancer to :

• foster wellness
• partner with the community, and
• heighten the profile and importance of breast health

We paddle to:
- Motivate ourselves and each other through group involvement,
- experience a sense of control in our lives,
- enable ou

rselves to take pride in our accomplishments, and
- help ourselves to move forward by participating in a sport that encourages a healthy and active lifestyle.

Rain, rain, go away. Please be dry on training day!

Because our next festival/race is this weekend! This year – also thanks to record rainfall amounts – the Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival will take place at Telford Lake and the Leduc Boat Club, August 14-16. But whatever the weather, we'll be there and we'll be ready, ready!

Hundreds of breast cancer survivor teams will be sporting special edition jerseys to celebrate the upcoming IBCPC Participatory Festival in Aix-les-Bains and Calgary Sistership is no exception.

Thanks to the creative collaboration of sisters Nathalie, Jenny and Shelley – and the generosity of VIBE Parking as a jersey sponsor – a new team jersey is revealed.

A long-standing tradition at international events is jersey trading. Sistership’s special edition jersey is sure to be highly coveted as it not only conveys our team spirit, vibrancy, and our Stronger Together motto, it also contains geographical elements that are clearly Calgary such as mountains, lakes and Calgary’s iconic skyline which includes the Calgary Tower and Saddledome.

The team is very excited to wear the new jersey in France and VIBE Parking is just as enthusiastic about helping them look their best on the international stage! Go get ‘em ladies! You’ll be fast and fashionable when you hit the water! 🇫🇷
