Celebrating a Milestone Year! 🏆✨
What a year it has been for our Toastmasters club! We recently traded our formal meeting agenda for pizza, drinks, and plenty of laughs at Bella Roma Restaurant to celebrate a massive list of achievements.
Thanks to the hard work of our members and executive team, our club officially achieved Select Distinguished Status, alongside the Blueprint for Success, Talk Up Toastmasters, and True North awards!
A big congratulations also goes out to the 10 members who stepped into every meeting role this year to achieve the Master of the Meeting Award: Debra Bracken, Joanne Divine, Judy Arnall, Karla Kroeker, Ken Schatzke, Lauren Makar, Lynne Herzog, Scott Arnall, Kathi Starecki Quinn, and Peter Arnall!
Peter Arnall deserves a second round of recognition for achieving the 30-Year Long-Standing Membership Award for three decades of incredible dedication to communication and leadership!
Finally, a round of applause for our "Of-The-Year" award winners:
🚀 Rookie of the Year: Dejan Gajsek (Sergeant at Arms), for bringing humour and a positive attitude to every meeting.
🚀 Toastmaster of the Year: Joanne Divine (VP Membership), for welcoming 19 new members and competing in club and area speech contests!
🚀 Public Relations of the Year: Lynne Kincaid (VP PR), for giving our website a full refresh and designing modern new marketing tools.
Whether you gave your first Icebreaker speech or crossed a decades-long milestone, thank you for making our club one of the very best.
