‼️ Foster or Forever Home Urgently Needed ‼️

Meet Apple 🍎🐾

Apple is an energetic, happy girl who is always smiling and wagging her little tail 💕 She warms up to new people very quickly and loves being around her humans. This playful pup enjoys having fun just as much as she enjoys curling up for snuggles 🥰

Apple is very good with other dogs and would likely love a canine companion to play with 🐶✨ She walks okay on leash, but she will need to wear a harness since she can easily slip out of a collar with her tiny little head!

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, affectionate girl to foster or adopt, Apple may be your perfect match 🍏🏡

Bert is a genuinely sweet and gentle boy and is making great progress in foster

He is very people oriented and loves to be included in daily life. Happiest when he is lounging nearby, chewing toys, playing with our dog or just soaking up belly rubs. He settles quickly for bedtime and is always relaxed and calm.

He is so very gentle, strong (sometimes you just have to smell something on the ground), playful, and food motivated and would do best in a home with another confident dog that can continue to help him build his confidence. He is a low to moderate energy pup but that said he can run and chase with the best of them. We took him to a paid off leash park, for just him and our dog and he chased after a ball and our dog for a full half hour.

We don’t have kids but I imagine he would do very well with older kids. He is still a bit goofy and clumsy for younger ones.

Bert is a very sensitive, laid back, wonderful dog who would thrive in a calm home. He has a good heart, and is one who needs continued consistency, structure and love. He is truly a rewarding foster and I am so very sad that I am not able to adopt him but I hope I have him for a while yet and will continue to help set him up for success in his forever home

Bert’s ideal home would be anywhere where people are willing to be patient with him, give him an honest chance and love him. He wants very much to be a part of a family and is a very happy boy. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky

I can’t say this enough … There is not a mean bone in this dogs body

Things he likes and does well with one or 2 dislikes

-He doesn’t like raw veggies or fruits 😆
-He loves to be near his people
-He is super affectionate. Loves to be touched and fussed over and wants your attention
-Quiet in the house and settles easily
-Housetrained
-Kennel trained, in fact he will sometimes go in just to lay down and be quiet
-Loves to play
-He learns quickly
-He doesn’t really like his crate but will go in it, even by himself sometimes and just lie down
-He sleeps through the night, not in a crate. I let him sleep on the bed with us
-He doesn’t bark or growl
-“come” is a command we are just starting to work on but he responds to his name very well and treats
-He knows: sit, lay down, wait, stay is coming along, he is quite good at heeling, he doesn’t pull or lunge
-He sits and waits to go out and does not run out of an open front door
-When returning home he has learned to sit to come in and once in to wait till I wipe his feet before getting a treat and coming into the house.
-Working to teach him to ‘go’ in a specific area, is coming along
-We go for 2 short walks every day, one about 20ish minutes just him and I for training and another longer fun one with our dog, plus he gets playtime in the backyard with our dog
-Bert does not have a mean bone in his body. He doesn’t bark, he doesn’t growl and he doesn’t lunge at anything. His tail is always wagging and he just wants to be close to his person
-He is good on a loose leash and he has learned that when I stop he is to sit … this he does it very well
-He does not eat things he finds in the ground on our walks
-He loves being outside
-Loves to play chase the ball with our pup but given a choice he would prefer snuggling with me on the couch
-Is great in the car … hops in easily
-He does not to jump up on people
-Super friendly and loving, a huge snuggle bug with his people
-He doesn’t snore but he is a black dog with a heavy coat and pants … heat is not his friend
-Good with cats … yes. We have 3 cats … he ignores them all
-He ignores rabbits, squirrels and birds and wildlife of all kinds
-He learns new things very quickly

Behavioural and Medical Concerns

-Bert seems to have no behavioural issues. Some adolescent behaviours still but he is still a puppy. He chews some things, digs a little and can be a tiny bit mouthy but never hard. He understands what ‘no or uh uh’ means very well. Nothing that can’t be fixed with patient calm training
-He has medical issues with his eyes and needs surgery. While waiting for approval for that he is on twice daily eye drops which he accepts very well
-On our walks he is getting much better, he is excellent when he he is with our dog and very food motivated if needed when it is just the 2 of us. That said he is afraid of other dogs and many people or new things. Doesn’t matter how big the dog or the thing is, he will often lie down and refuse to get up. That said, he is getting much better. Because he is food motivated I use that to encourage him to continue on our walks… he gets up and comes to me even though he is scared. He has met the odd dog that he will sit and sort of meet but I can see that he isn’t comfortable so that has stopped for a while
-I don’t know what happened to him or how he was treated before he got to me but he drops to the ground if you correct him too quickly or by raising your voice, like he expects to he hit. Is very sad

Foster Home Needed!

Booka 🩶

Estimated Age: October 5, 2022
S*x: Spayed Female
Estimated Breed: Cane Corso Mix
Estimated Weight: 46.7 kg.
Good with Dogs: Yes, with proper introductions
Good with Cats: Unknown
Good with Children: Older children
Special/Medical Needs:
Estimated Energy Level: Medium
Current Location: Calgary, AB.

This is Booka.
Booka is cat software operating on dog hardware. She likes to be a part of every hug and cuddle. She will “make biscuits” on your back if you do not include her in hugs while you are standing. If you are kneeling, she will shove her head under your chin and demand cuddles/butt scratches. She enjoys pancakes and early morning walks before breakfast. Afterwards it is straight to more cuddles before nap time. Patience is required when crossing the road/street on walks, Booka needs a few seconds to check around and make sure it is safe to proceed. She is not being stubborn, just warry of potential dangers.
Booka does best with a single adult or couple. While she is not aggressive, she has a small window of tolerance and limited exposure time with younger children (under ten) due to past trauma. She has a very reactive startle response to strangers and children (lunging, growling, barking) making sudden movements or entering the area around her. Once she becomes familiar with strangers, she becomes very affectionate almost immediately after an initial investigative bark/growl. She is amazing to take on a walk, responds well to redirection and avoiding distractions. She performs “heel” perfectly, coming to your left side and sitting, waiting for her leash to be put on. Booka exhibits stalking/hunting behavior around birds and cats, which is countered with re-direction, or distractions with treats.
Booka does best with someone who is able to be in proximity to her at all times. When her person is gone, she will stare ceaselessly at the door waiting for them to return, even if it is just the bathroom. She is very loyal, loving, and affectionate. She gives very gentle kisses and will bring you the closest boot/toy when she gets excited, which is anytime you return after breaking line of sight. You may even have the boot in exchange for kisses. You must of course give kisses all over her very broad head.
In the time I have had the honor of fostering Booka, she has gone from having to be on a leash at all times due to reacting to everyone out of fear, to being loved by all members of my family, despite all efforts to remain objective. She is just that amazing, eager to learn, and easy to love. She enjoys sunbathing on the deck, and getting brushed. Booka, while not brave getting a bath, tolerates it like a proper lady.

Meet Prairie Wolf 🐾

This sweet girl is the definition of calm and gentle. Prairie Wold is AMAZING on leash — she never pulls, even when other dogs are barking at her. She’s not dog reactive at all and would likely do well with other dogs, though she’s currently the only pup in the home. We don’t know how she is with cats yet.

Prairie Wolf can be a little slow to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, she is incredibly snuggly, loving, and loyal. She’s also wonderfully patient and gentle with kids.

She is fully house trained and has had zero accidents, even on long work days. 🚪✨

She’s currently working on her confidence with car rides — she doesn’t get sick, she’s just still learning to feel comfortable hopping into the car.

Prairie Wolf is such a special girl with a calm, loving soul who just needs a little patience to let her personality shine. ❤️

✨ Meet Diamonds — Part-Time Model, Full-Time Negotiator ✨

This stunning queen is smart, well-mannered, and has adjusted beautifully to home life. While the resident dog was immediately smitten, Diamonds politely keeps everyone in check. They now enjoy the occasional play session or wrestling match before returning to their independent routines.

Inside the house, Diamonds is calm, low-maintenance, and happiest lounging on the floor like the minimalist icon she is. She’s discovering toys and has no problem “borrowing” them from the resident dog. She’s fully house trained and politely lets you know when she needs out with a sit-and-whine combo at the door.

On walks, Diamonds is a dream—loose leash, patient, and respectful. She enjoys observing people, dogs, squirrels, and birds like a tiny security guard, though her prey drive is more “enthusiastic observer” than “chaotic chase.”

Diamonds is VERY food motivated. She takes treats gently and sits beautifully for snacks, but at mealtime she occasionally forgets she’s not competing in a hot dog eating contest. She’s fed separately from the resident dog and may “hug” her bowl while eating if someone gets too close.

Diamonds would thrive in a calm, structured home that appreciates a laid-back companion. She’s low–moderate energy, enjoys daily walks, and would do well with a respectful dog or as the center of attention herself. She’d also love a patient family willing to continue working on her food manners.

Diamonds is clever, affectionate, hilarious, and full of personality. In return for snacks, routine, and love, she’ll provide endless charm, funny little noises, and the company of a truly iconic queen. 🐾✨

🎮🐾 Meet Miss Pac-Man (aka Minnie!) 🐾🎮

Miss Pac-Man, lovingly known as Minnie, is a fun, affectionate girl who’s ready to level up into her forever home. She walks well on leash and, while she can have a bit of leash reactivity, she responds nicely to redirection and listens well. She’s smart, eager, and wants to do the right thing.

Minnie loves to play ball and fetch and is impressively athletic — fair warning, this girl can jump and has been known to hop onto counters if curiosity strikes. 🐕‍🦺✨

She’s curious about cats and could live with a confident, dog-savvy cat who can set boundaries when playtime is over. Minnie is mostly potty trained and does a great job holding it until her walks. When you’re out, you’ll often find her happily watching the world go by from the window.

She gets along well with other dogs and would absolutely love a canine buddy to play with. She’s also fantastic in the car and is always happy to tag along wherever her people are going — whether that’s an adventure or a cozy couch snuggle. 🛋️💕

Minnie isn’t a fan of crates and would prefer having a comfy section of the house to call her own. She’ll let you know when someone’s at the door, but otherwise settles nicely.

At her core, Minnie is a loving, loyal girl who just wants to be part of a family. She would make an amazing companion for someone ready to give her the love (and belly rubs) she deserves. 💛🐾

06/01/2026

Meet Yote💙 This sweet boy absolutely loves attention and will happily freeze in place for as long as you’re willing to give him scratches and pets. He’s incredibly affectionate and enjoys following his people around wherever they go. He’s also very food motivated and already learning quickly — he responds well to “come here” and “sit.”

He’s wonderful on leash and very easy to walk. He stays close by your side, matches your pace, and doesn’t pull or chew on the leash. Loud noises can make him pause to assess the situation, but with a little reassurance like “come on” or “good boy,” he’s happy to continue walking.

Bath time and grooming are a breeze with him. He stays calm and still while getting his paws cleaned, ears washed, and even while being dried off afterward.

He is still adjusting to crate training, but settles much more easily when he can see you nearby. After exercise and playtime, he falls asleep quickly in his crate. He will also let you know when he needs to go outside.

He’s doing very well with house training and has had no accidents in his crate. As long as he’s taken outside every 1–2 hours during the day and a couple times overnight, accidents in the house are easily avoided.

🐾 Cats: Unknown
🐾 Dogs: Currently nervous around other dogs
🐾 Kids: No direct interaction yet, but he has a very gentle personality and would likely do well with respectful children
🐾 Barking: Rarely barks — mainly to signal he needs to go outside. May cry briefly when settling into his crate or when left alone, but calms within 5–10 minutes
🐾 Car rides: Nervous in a crate during car rides, but does much better laying beside you or being held
🐾 Leash skills: Excellent walker

He’s a gentle, loving little guy who is learning more every day and would thrive in a patient, caring home.
