Airdrie Food Bank Airdrie Food Bank - We are Neighbours helping Neighbours We collect food and funds from the community and distribute food as needed through our many programs.

The Airdrie Food Bank’s mandate is to provide short term emergency food support to adults, children and families in need in Airdrie and surrounding communities. We serve clients in Airdrie, Crossfield, Balzac, Beiseker, Madden and surrounding areas. We use volunteers and staff to meet our mandate of being “Neighbors helping Neighbors.”

A new initiative of the Airdrie Food Bank is the Airdrie Comm

unity Kitchen. It was created to move us from emergency support only to providing skill building programs and build support networks.

Giddy up! We're officially 4 weeks away from the BCAA 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

What started as a community fundraiser has grown into a signature event that brings together local businesses, community leaders, and supporters for a day of golf, networking, and giving back.

We still have:
• 10 golfer spots remaining
• Silent auction items needed
• On-course hole sponsorship opportunities available

This year's tournament proudly supports:
• Airdrie Boys & Girls Club
• Airdrie Food Bank
• Airdrie & District Hospice Society

Every golfer, sponsor, donor, and volunteer helps make a difference in our community.

We are very thankful to Fortis Inc. for taking time to join us at the Airdrie Food Bank and help sort food in our warehouse. 💙

Sorting food plays an important role in our daily operations. It helps ensure all items are safe, within date, and ready to be distributed. It also allows us to properly organize donations so food can be directed to hampers or placed in our pantry, depending on community needs.

We truly appreciate your hands-on support and the time spent helping us keep things running smoothly for the individuals and families we serve. Thank you, Fortis, for making a difference in our community!

We are so grateful to Walmart for joining us at the Airdrie Food Bank and helping with food sorting in our warehouse. 💙

Sorting food is an important step in our process. It allows us to carefully check best before dates and ensure everything moving through our building is safe and ready for use. It also helps us cycle food properly so items are used at their peak freshness and nothing goes to waste.

From there, some donations are selected for our hampers while other food items are placed directly into our pantry for clients to choose from based on their needs.

We are so appreciative of your time, energy, and support in helping us keep things running smoothly and serving our community with care and dignity. Thank you, Walmart, for making a difference alongside us!

These items help us provide balanced food hampers while meeting a variety of dietary needs and preferences.

Congratulations to Megan B., the winner of our second Airdrie Stars Hunger Games 50/50 raffle! $1085!!!🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and supported this year’s Hunger Games. To all the hockey teams, players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and fans, thank you for helping make this event such an incredible success year after year.

The Hunger Games helps raise funds, collect food donations, and bring awareness to food insecurity in our community while supporting children, families, and seniors who access our programs.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support and community spirit shown both on and off the ice. Final totals for food and funds raised will be shared next week once everything has been counted.

The final 50/50 raffle for the Airdrie Stars Hunger Games closes tonight, and this is your very last chance to get in on the action.

From May 19 to May 26, every ticket purchased has helped support the Airdrie Food Bank while giving you a shot at winning half the jackpot. The other half goes right back into programs that provide food to children, families, and seniors in our community.

If you haven’t grabbed your tickets yet, now’s the time. Once the clock runs out, the draw is locked in and the winner will be announced soon after.
