Canadian Cattle Youth Council President, Brayden Schmidt, virtually took part in the Agri Committee Meeting on Business Risk Management Programs in Canada’s Agriculture Sector. As a young rancher, Brayden brought awareness on the vitality of growing the Canadian Cattle herd and the importance of supporting young Canadian ranchers through trade deals and Business Risk Management programs.

The Beef Cattle Code of Practice sets the standard of care for beef cattle in Canada and was first published in 1991. It covers topics such as housing, feed and water, handling, euthanasia, transport, and other important management practices and sets a standard by which both good producers and offenders can be judged.
