Get creative and showcase your marketing skills in the CJHA Advertising Competition!

Design a one-page digital advertisement to promote Bar J-M Farm for the Canadian Hereford Digest. Entries can be completed individually or in teams of up to 3 juniors.

Along with your advertisement, submit a 250-word explanation outlining the marketing strategy behind your design.

📅 Deadline for submissions: July 1, 2026 by email to Bar J-M Farm.

Judging will take place before Bonanza, and the winner will be announced during! The winner will receive $250.

Open to all CJHA members with current CJHA activity fees paid.

📏 Canadian Hereford Digest Ad Specs:
• Page Size: 8.25” x 10.75”
• Include a ¼” bleed on all sides
• Live Area: 7.25” x 9.75”

Tip: Keep important text and graphics away from the edges to avoid trimming.

The CJHA Heifer Lottery is more than just a program — it’s an investment in the future of our juniors!

When breeders sign up, those fees go directly toward helping juniors purchase quality females through breeder vouchers. Even better, heifers bought from your program that year, regardless of whether the junior received a voucher, are eligible to show in the Heifer Lottery Show at Bonanza, competing for Champion and Reserve titles.

A huge thank you to the breeders and supporters helping create opportunities like this for the next generation of cattlemen and cattlewomen!

You’ve probably heard from our CJHA Delegates lately about the CJHA Heifer Lottery Project — and for good reason!

What makes this program so special? Every dollar raised goes right back to supporting juniors. By becoming a sanctioned breeder, your sign-up fee helps provide vouchers for juniors to purchase a female from any sanctioned breeder. Beyond that, any animals purchased from your program that year are eligible to compete in the Heifer Lottery Show at Bonanza for Champion and Reserve titles!
