Today and every day we’re grateful for our local farmers.

Harvest is a true test of resilience. This season hasn’t been easy and while many producers have wrapped up, others are still battling the elements to bring in the last of the crop.

To our farmers: thank you for the tirelessly long hours you put in year after year. Having your livelihood tied to the weather is never simple, and we deeply appreciate the heart and dedication behind what you do.

We hope everyone will take a moment today, and everyday, to appreciate the food that nourishes them and the hard work that’s put into growing it.

Thank you, farmers. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!

You're eligible to vote if you:
✔️ Grow wheat or barley in Alberta
✔️ Paid check-off fees to Alberta Grains in either the current or past two fiscal years.
✔️ Farm in the region.

If you check those three boxes, you hold a vote.

Any eligible voter can run for a Director or Delegate position. Keep in mind, Directors must submit nomination forms by October 28.

Happy National B**r Day! 🍺

Every single one of your favourite craft beers starts out in a farmer’s field. The journey from a grain of high-quality Alberta barley to a poured pint is a pretty cool process!

Through events like our annual Combine to Craft mixer, we bring together local producers, policy makers and craft brewers to celebrate the incredible barley grown right here at home. We’re all about building strong connections across the entire value chain, from our farms to independent taps like Tool Shed Brewing Company.

Whether it’s cracking open a cold one at the end of a long, busy day or sharing a pint with friends, today is a great day to appreciate the hard work that goes into every pour. 🍻
