We are incredibly proud to announce that STARS Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), Benjamin (Ben) Jamison, from our Edmonton base, has brought home a bronze medal from the 2026 WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China. 🥉

Earlier this year, Ben won the gold medal at the 2025 Skills/ Compétences Canada National Competition in the Aerospace Technology Skills Area, earning his spot to represent Canada on the international stage. Ben competed alongside 17 top young skilled professionals from around the world. Using his knowledge, precision, and expertise, Ben applied his skills on a variety of aviation projects, skills required of our STARS AME.

We’re extremely proud to have Benjamin on the STARS team and to see him recognized on a global stage. Please join us in congratulating Ben! 👏

Today, in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we want to acknowledge the traditional territories of many Indigenous Nations in which our STARS bases are located on, including Treaty 7 (Calgary), Treaty 6 (Edmonton and Saskatoon), Treaty 8 (Grande Prairie), Treaty 4 (Regina), and Treaty 1 (Winnipeg).

We are committed to fostering reconciliation, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work while remembering the survivors, families, and communities who continue to endure the lasting impacts of Canada's Residential School system.

We extend our gratitude to the Indigenous peoples who have cared for and stewarded these lands, now known as Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, for generations and are dedicated to building meaningful partnerships as part of our mission to serve all who need us. 🧡
