Between Friends Between Friends facilitates programs with these goals in mind while promoting a focus on shared interests over individual differences.

Many people with disabilities seek social and recreational activities that are fundamental to enriching self-esteem, quality of life, and mental and physical health. Between Friends offers children, youth and adults a variety of programs that remove the barriers of isolation and truly function as the building blocks of friendship. We encourage diversity by connecting our community with their fellow citizens with disabilities, providing ongoing development and benefitting all people through the sharing of unique talents and perspectives

Why do people use Donor-Advised Funds to manage their giving?

For many donors, a DAF makes charitable giving simpler and more intentional.

It provides one place to organize charitable funds, plan giving over time, and support multiple organizations and causes that matter to you. It can also make it easier to incorporate philanthropy into your longer-term financial and family planning.

Most importantly, a DAF gives donors the flexibility to decide when and where their charitable dollars can make an impact.

Today is DAF Day!

You may have heard the term Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) before, but what exactly is it?

A DAF is a charitable giving account that allows individuals and families to set aside funds specifically for charitable giving. Donors can contribute to their fund, receive applicable tax benefits, and then recommend grants to the charities and causes that matter most to them over time.

For charities like Between Friends, gifts from Donor-Advised Funds can make a meaningful difference. They can help provide reliable funding for programs, reduce financial barriers for families, support new initiatives, and allow us to plan for the future.

DAF Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about this growing way to give, and to remind DAF holders that funds already set aside for charitable purposes can be put to work supporting their communities.

Thank you so much to every group that came down to help out, from harvesting potatoes to gutter clearing, camp is now ready for hibernation! And with program leader kits assembled we are ready for the upcoming Fall Session!

What a summer! ☀️💚 Camp Bonaventure 2026 has officially wrapped up, and we’re looking back on another incredible season filled with friendship, laughter and unforgettable memories.
