We would like thank Wayfinders Wellness and Sea to Sea for PTSD for the wonderful welcoming BBQ for Chad Kennedy who has been waking across Canada to share his experience with PTSD and help others find a path to recovery. We are so pleased to have such great working relationships and friendships with these amazing organizations such as Legacy Place Society, Operation Tango Romeo, the Trauma Recovery Podcast, Alberta Recoil Inc. and so many others that support this walk and initiative. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to one our most treasured members. Rod was a cherished soul that did so much to help the Association and so many Veterans. His beautiful presence will be truly missed by so many, but his legacy will forever be remembered and honored. Thank you so much Rod for everything. The Veterans Association is excited to be part of the 10th Annual Calgary Militaria Show on Saturday, August 8 at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino Conference Centre.

If you’re interested in military history, memorabilia, collecting, or simply want to learn more, come check out this unique event and stop by the Veterans Association table to say hello!

Our team will be there sharing information about the Veterans Association, the programs and services we provide to Veterans, and our Veterans Association Thrift Store. We’ll also have some VAFB gear available!

Looking for a fun way to get involved in the community while supporting local Veterans? The Veterans Association has several exciting events coming up in Calgary, and we need volunteers to help us out!

• Chatting with visitors about the Veterans Association
• Selling some fun VAFB gear
• Sharing information about our Thrift Store
• Helping us spread the word about the programs and services available to Veterans
