If you are intrested in helping the legion with volunteering feel free to call the legion for information on activities we need help with. Also we are looking for members to join our executive to help make decisions and bring new ideas to the table to make the legion better.

Very special thank you to all the volunteers that came out to help us celebrate our Veterans at the Colonel Belcher seniors home. We had a wonderful lasagna lunch with them. We would like to thank Nancy Kearney LA President, Laurie Watson LA 2nd Vice ,Dorothy Ainley LA/branch executive, Janis Wirth ANEVETS LA ,TD Brown,Lee Brown,Kelly McIsaac ,Colin McIsaac From the Veterans Brotherhood, Past President Branch #285

All of the Veterans that attended were happy and very thankful for the visit!!
They enjoyed the lunch and questions where what the next meal we were bring for them.
Lots of laughter and happy faces made are heart full of joy.
Thankyou to Adelle for all the help with planning and all the food restrictions and getting everyone in one room! JOB WELL DONE!!

Big thank you to everyone that came and celebrated our Comrade Elmer Friesen's 104th Birthday!!!
You all made his day, a few games of crib with his friends and cake made him very honored and happy

The Forest Lawn Legion sadly announcing the passing of our
Comrade Glenn Hagan
1961-2026
Glen served 1yrs as an executive and became our
2nd Vice President for 2026. He was a wonderful man and was eager to learn
He worked on building committee and the poppy campaign this last year and was looking forward to taking over as the chairman for the poppy.
Glenn was always at Dave's side when tables had to be moved or things need to be fixed. The branch has lost a fantastic supporter and we have lost a wonderful friend.
We as a family will come to celebrate Glenn together at a later date. The family thanks everyone for there support through this very tough time.
