We're excited to announce the 2026 Writer in Residence Program with award-winning science fiction author Robert J. Sawyer.

From September through November, Robert will be working with members in our community through one-on-one consultations, workshops, and special events designed to inspire, challenge, and support your writing journey.

From first drafts to final revisions, writers at every stage, or in any genre, are invited to learn from Robert through everything offered with in this program. Please note the consultations are available for current members only.​

When Words Collide is just around the corner, and if you're looking to get your creative muscles warmed up before the festival, we've got just the thing.

Join us for Word Sprints on Monday, August 10 for an evening of timed writing, prompts, laughter, and great company. It's the perfect chance to get words on the page, and get into the writing mindset before an incredible weekend at WWC.

We're looking for published authors with mentoring, teaching, or coaching experience to help developing writers through six months of manuscript feedback, guidance, and encouragement.
