Dear club members!

Let's work on our safety skills Saturday!!!!!!

Nice weather in the forecast this weekend so we will be out there!!!!

Saturday June 13th we will run the Upper Kananaskis river and take the time to practice rescues, swimming, towing swimmers, saving boats, managing holes surfing and daring new lines! Rolling practice will also be available. If you are not familiar with the upper Kananaskis or you want to paddle class 2+ -3 water, this is a great opportunity this Saturday to do it. We will guide you through as usual.

The plan is to meet at Widowmaker at 10:00 am, get organized and have some fun on the river! It would be a good time to be more daring, not worry about swims since we will set everything up for safety . We can stop at one point and practice throw bag skills since we are still at the beginning of the season and a lot of trips are coming in the following weeks.

Registration for the rescue day on Saturday:

Sunday will be dedicated to the upper section of the Elbow from Elbow falls to boat launch (Class 4). I will have a group of experienced paddlers with me so if you feel ready to try a waterfall and the slide (both class 4 features) come with us.

See you on the water!!!!

One of the best paddlefest in Alberta! A part of the province that we should all go and discover! That festival is so fun, low key but amazing! I have to work those dates but if you have the chance to go, organize a group to share the drive and go paddle the rivers in Grande Cache! I should mention the incredible host too!

Come and join us, meeting at Allen Bill pond, we will organize the shuttle and have a great run!! Just for your information, the water is soooooo cold this time of year, gloves or poggies advisable.

See you on the water!

Come and paddle with us the Elbow. Very good flow for this time of year! Enjoy this very fun river close to Calgary. Perfect for lower intermediates and above. Meeting at Allen Bill pond and we will organize the shuttle.
