Cape George Heritage School Cape George Heritage School is one of Nova Scotia's original one room school houses. Open August to September as a museum. For bookings call Sue at 902-318-8932.

Available for rentals the rest of the year. Please see our website for genealogical and historical information on Cape George. Step back in time when you enter this 1925 heritage one room school house! Can you imagine all grades being schooled in this one room, with one teacher?! We have artifacts from the early 1900's to give visitors an idea what life on the cape was like, plus lots of pictures

too! Also featured are some of the artists found in the area who are offering their pictures, paintings and cards for a reasonable price. This is a great place to check out before hiking on the fabulous area hiking trails, and maybe grab a cold drink or some ice cream! If your going to be in the area, consider renting this great little spot for family get togethers or events.

Great news! We will be opening for the summer season on July 1st. Our hours are going to be 10 to 4 every day til the end of August. This years focus display will be on Military Service which will include service records from WW1 and photo's and artifacts from serving members of the community. We will have cool art, cards and jewellery for sale as well as specially designed stickers for the Cape!

Good News!! Our 3rd book containing all the news about Cape George from the Casket newspaper (and a few others...) is out and will be available for sale at the museum starting on July 1st! The cost is still $20 each! All the more reason to visit!
