May 2026 News!

We invite you to join us for the Abbotsford DPAC Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 28. In this newsletter you'll find AGM information, Executive nominations and elections, proposed Constitution and Bylaw amendments, an overview of post-secondary planning, PAC election resources, and Gaming Grant reminders.

We'll also have snacks and refreshments available at our AGM, so we hope you'll take the opportunity to stay and connect with PAC members from across the district, ask us questions, share ideas, and celebrate another year of parent advocacy and involvement. It should be fun!

DPAC Annual General Meeting
Thursday, May 28 2026, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
In Person at Abbotsford Senior Secondary Library

33355 Bevan Ave, Abbotsford, BC V2S 1V5, Canada

Our Annual General Meeting is open to all parents and guardians of Abbotsford School District students, and everyone is welcome to attend and participate in the discussion. Please plan to arrive early to allow time for parking (there is league soccer and an event at Abby Arts the same evening), signing in, and picking up your voting card so we can start on time. Please enter through the Rotunda doors.

Please take some time to review the Draft April Minutes, which are also posted in our DPAC page.

You may view the meeting by Zoom however your attendance will not be counted toward attendance or quorum for the meeting, and Zoom attendees may not take part in the voting. The Zoom link is provided for viewing purposes only, as this is an in-person meeting.

Please note: Only officially elected DPAC Representatives (or their designated alternates) may cast a vote. Each school is allowed one vote. When signing in, you will be asked to indicate whether you are the voting member for your school. Voting representatives will be provided with a voting card.

Reminder to PACs: Don’t miss out on your Community Gaming Grant.

Before applying, take a few minutes to prepare:

Make sure your PAC has access to its BCeID account (many PACs already have one from 2025): https://www.bceid.ca

Deadline to apply is June 30, 2026. Be sure to submit on time and save your confirmation number.
