Today CEDAR was honoured to attend the 2nd Annual IPV Fraser Valley Meet and Greet, hosted by the Abbotsford Intimate Partner Violence Unit.

While we are disheartened that such conversations still need to exist, we were inspired by the continued outpouring of community support for finding solutions to intimate partner violence. We are grateful to work in a community where non-profits, police, Crown Counsel, forensic nurses, academics and survivors can all work together to preserve safety and promote healing.

CEDAR works to ensure that the women we support at The Nest shelter, and in encampments through our CEER team, know their rights and what pathways are available to them if they are victimized.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to do this important work in such a coordinated and connected community 💜

We recently attended the Information Fair at Xaws Schó Correctional Centre (formerly Ford Mountain Correctional Centre) and connected with residents about the supports available through the CEDAR Outreach Program.

At CEDAR Outreach, we work alongside individuals facing substance use challenges, chronic homelessness, employment barriers, and poverty-related legal issues. Our peer-support team provides personalized resources, compassionate guidance, and relationships built on trust, dignity, and mutual respect.

Thank you to the organizers for creating this opportunity to share information, build connections, and support individuals on their journey towards positive change.

This is the third year in a row that we have received a water donation from for an emergency weather response!

These donations go a long way to ensure our friends on the street are hydrated and safe during the summer heat.

We are so excited to welcome the 2026 cohort for our community navigator training!

This program provides 6 weeks of intensive skills training to those whose life experiences make them relatable and empathetic to unsheltered community members. They then have the chance to be placed in various host organizations across Abbotsford for a paid opportunity to use their valuable skills.

Their ultimate goal is to enhance access to essential services, such as housing, treatment, mental health care and cultural supports for others. We are so grateful for the commitment they have made to strengthening our community.

Thank you to the referring agencies that showed so much interest and support for this program. We are excited for training to begin!

How do I get help from CEDAR for myself or a loved one?

Referrals can be made by phone or email by anyone looking for help. We accept referrals from social service and community-based agencies looking to connect their clients to additional support services. Self-referrals are also welcome!

What are your outreach service hours?

We are available to offer our outreach services to clients from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. seven days a week.

What types of donations are you accepting?

We’re currently accepting donations of non-perishable food items, gently used clothing, unopened toiletries, and monetary donations.

Do you provide housing or help find housing?

We are happy to help clients access a range of housing options. Reach out to us to see how we can help.
