Brook loved hiking, nature, and leaving every place better than he found it. He lived by the rule: “pack it in, pack it out.” Hiking was his therapy, a place where he found peace while living with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Everyone loved him. It was often that his friends and colleagues came to him when they needed someone to talk to - Brook was always there for them.

In 2020, we lost Brook to su***de. The Hawaiian Shirt Gala was created in honour of his life and legacy, helping raise awareness around mental health and su***de prevention while supporting others who may be struggling.

Every story shared and every person who attends helps remind others that they are not alone. 💙

With heartfelt gratitude, thank you to everyone who participated in and supported this year’s Wandering Warriors Hike for Mental Health. Together, we raised over $8,200—enough to provide more than 100 counselling sessions for individuals in need. We’re excited to share that BeMorr Society is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team! This opportunity is offered through the Canada Summer Jobs Program and is an 8-week position designed for a student (youth 15-30 years) interested in gaining hands-on experience in marketing and the non-profit sector.

In this role, you’ll help bring our message to life by creating and scheduling social media content, newsletters, posters, and event promotions, while also tracking campaign performance and supporting outreach efforts. You’ll connect with sponsors, donors, and community partners, and play a hands-on role in our fundraising events—helping with everything from sponsorship requests to auction organization.
