For five years running, Clearbrook Kiwanis and The Salvation Army have teamed up to send 40 kids to Camp Sunrise on the Sunshine Coast! 🌲☀️
We believe every child deserves the magic of summer camp, regardless of their financial situation. This partnership provides full subsidies for families who wouldn't otherwise have the means to send their children to camp.

The Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook supports literacy in the Abbotsford School District in a variety of ways. The club sponsors Book Parties in three schools during each school year. Our most recent Book Party took place at Dave Kandal Elementary. Two hundred and sixty five books were distributed to students and staff. The children were happy to receive a book to add to their home library.

On February 24, the City of Abbotsford presented the Community Champion Achievement Award to the late Harry Schmidt. Councillor Warawa and Mayor Siemens presented the award to Cara Schmidt, Harry's daughter in recognition of Harry’s many contributions to our community.
A paving stone in Harry’s honour will be placed in the Plaza of Champions on Immel Road as a lasting tribute to his impact.
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook were honoured to attend the ceremony. Harry was a founding member of the club, and his dedication to service continues to inspire us all.

The Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook has provided support to the Builders Club at Clayburn Middle School for 15 years. This leadership initiative encourages interested students to meet on a regular basis to plan activities and events to support both school and community needs. Money raised from fund raising events is donated to a variety of community organizations. Dilpreet Chahal and Hayley Chahal are the teacher sponsors for this club. Anna McWhinney, Executive Director of the Abbotsford Community School Society, was pleased to receive monetary support from the Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook to support the Book Buddies Program. The Book Buddies Program pairs K-Grade 3 students with secondary students to practice reading together in an after school program. Our partnership with ACCS also involves volunteer opportunities for club members at various events sponsored by the society during the year.
