Kiwanis CLUB of Clearbrook gives back to the community in so many ways. Andy Kwak recently presented The Salvation Army with $2000. These funds go towards the annual Christmas Luncheon for the vulnerable community of Abbotsford. Last year over 300 folks attended . This annual event takes place at The Salvation Army Cascade Community Church. The Clearbrook Kiwanis Club not only help with funds but also provide volunteers to help serve the meal.

Each school year, the Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook partners with the Abbotsford Community School Society to support the ‘Book Buddies Program’. Secondary school students work with a small group of primary aged students who need extra support with the development of their reading skills. From October to March, the ‘Book Buddies Program’ takes place one day a week at two elementary schools. Both the Big Buddies and Little Buddies enjoy this weekly experience and look forward to the time they spend together.

❤️ Making Summer Memories Possible ❤️

Today, members of the Clearbrook Kiwanis Club had the privilege of helping send 45 children off to Camp Sunrise on the beautiful Sunshine Coast for an unforgettable week of fun, friendship, and adventure.

Our members served breakfast to excited campers, generously donated by McDonalds before loading everyone onto the bus for their trip to Horseshoe Bay where they caught the ferry to camp.

We are incredibly proud to help sponsor these children and make this experience possible. Every child deserves the opportunity to create lifelong memories, build confidence, and simply enjoy being a kid.

Together, we're making a positive difference—one child at a time.

Making a Difference Together
Kiwanis Club of Cleabrook was honoured to present a cheque to Archway CEO Rod Santiago and Director of Philanthropy Cindy Walker in support of Archway's Summer Food Program.
During the summer months, many school-aged children lose access to the meal programs they rely on throughout the school year. This wonderful program helps ensure they continue to receive healthy, nutritious food when they need it most.
We're proud that our contribution will help provide meals for 80 local children this summer. Thank you to Archway for the incredible work you do to support families in our community. Together, we can make a lasting difference—one child, one family, and one act of kindness at a time. 💙

We believe every child deserves the magic of summer camp, regardless of their financial situation. This partnership provides full subsidies for families who wouldn't otherwise have the means to send their children to camp.

The Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook supports literacy in the Abbotsford School District in a variety of ways. The club sponsors Book Parties in three schools during each school year. Our most recent Book Party took place at Dave Kandal Elementary. Two hundred and sixty five books were distributed to students and staff. The children were happy to receive a book to add to their home library.

On February 24, the City of Abbotsford presented the Community Champion Achievement Award to the late Harry Schmidt. Councillor Warawa and Mayor Siemens presented the award to Cara Schmidt, Harry's daughter in recognition of Harry’s many contributions to our community.
A paving stone in Harry’s honour will be placed in the Plaza of Champions on Immel Road as a lasting tribute to his impact.
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook were honoured to attend the ceremony. Harry was a founding member of the club, and his dedication to service continues to inspire us all.

There is nothing quite like the excitement of a student picking out a brand-new book to take home and keep. Our goal is to help every child build their own home library and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Registration is officially OPEN for this year’s Classic Tournament, happening February 21st at Yale Secondary School. This fun and competitive co‑ed 6s tournament requires a minimum of 2 females per team, and players can register as a full team or individually.

This event is a proud fundraiser for the Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Project (KCCP). Proceeds support children’s cancer research and care at Vancouver Children’s Hospital.
