Late Sunday afternoon, our team responded alongside AFRS and APD to rescue two hikers on the Abby Grind. The pair had attempted a shortcut and unfortunately became cliffed out in a drainage. As a safety reminder: please stay on well-established trails and avoid relying on Google Maps as your primary navigational aid in the backcountry. Stay safe out there!

It's been a busy few weeks for our team. This afternoon, members of our Swiftwater and Rope Rescue teams were tasked to assist after a vehicle was discovered in a water-filled ditch in Langley.

Our members responded quickly to assess the scene and help ensure the area was safe. Thankfully, it was confirmed there were no occupants inside the vehicle.

Calls like these are a reminder that conditions can change quickly, and we’re always ready to respond when needed.
Thank you to all responding agencies for working together to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.

🚨 Double Call-Out Night! 🚨

Right after our regular Tuesday evening training on May 12th, our team was diverted to Aldergrove for a missing person search. The subject was successfully located around 1:00 AM.

After a quick 3-hour break, we were activated again at 4:00 AM for another missing person in Abbotsford. We are incredibly relieved to report that this subject was also safely located!

A massive shoutout to our dedicated volunteers who pushed through a sleepless night to bring two people home safely. Time for some well-deserved rest!
