BSREA Contributes to Dialogue on Industrial Rooftop Solar Investment in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) participated in the Fifth Bangladesh-China Renewable Energy Forum, titled “Industrial Rooftop Solar in RMG Sector: Investment Potential for Chinese FDI,” organized by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD).

The forum brought together key stakeholders to explore the significant potential of rooftop solar in Bangladesh’s RMG sector and discuss investment opportunities for Chinese investors, financiers, technology providers, and EPC companies.

Engr. Zahidul Alam, Senior Vice President of BSREA, participated in the forum as a Distinguished Discussant. He contributed valuable perspectives to the discussion, highlighting the opportunities, challenges, and necessary policy and institutional measures for accelerating industrial rooftop solar adoption in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) successfully held the 4th Meeting of the BSREA Rooftop Compliance Committee on 15 August 2026 at the BSREA Office in Dhaka.

The meeting focused on the discussion and planning of the proposed Residential Rooftop Solar Seminar. Committee members exchanged valuable insights on the seminar’s objectives, key topics, potential speakers and stakeholders, and the necessary preparations for its successful organization.

We sincerely thank all respected Committee members for their active participation and valuable contributions. Their insights and collaboration will play an important role in advancing discussions on residential rooftop solar and supporting the growth of Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector.
