Samatat Open Scout Group Samatat Open Scout Group has been one of the most active scout groups of Bangladesh since 1976. The deputy chairperson was Sayed Akhter Jahan . Azaduzzaman.

In 1976 some active scouter tried to set up a new scout group which will work for real Baden-Powell scouting and from this thought the historic outset of Samatat Open Scout group originated from Tezturi bazaar, Farm Gate, Dhaka in 1977. The first Group Committee was formed with Gulam Kabir as the Chairperson. The Director General was Abdul Wadud and his deputy was K.M. It was East Raza Bazaar where Samatat commenced its preliminary activities.

Towards the Golden Jubilee came to a memorable close with our much-anticipated Grand Campfire. As the evening began, our Cubs, Scouts and Rovers gathered around the campfire to celebrate the journey we had shared throughout the camp. Making the evening even more special our fellow Samatatians living abroad joined us virtually through Google Meet, bringing everyone together despite the distance and making the reunion feel truly complete.

With everyone gathered, each team stepped into the circle with exciting performances, from energetic songs and dances to fun dramas. The performances filled the evening with laughter, creativity and excitement, while also showcasing the teamwork and spirit that made the camp so special.

As the performances came to an end, the evening continued with our much-awaited BBQ Night. Everyone gathered around for good food, conversations, laughter and a little more time together before the camp came to a close. With the warmth of the campfire, it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable camp, Towards the Golden Jubilee.

The next morning brought a new day of adventure for our Cubs. It began with the Flag Parade, bringing everyone together with discipline, pride and the true spirit of Scouting.

After the flag parade, the Cubs soon set off on their adventure trail. Following colorful paths through nature, they moved from one point to another, searching for clues and working together to uncover a hidden treasure. Putting their observation and teamwork to the test, both the girls’ and boys’ units successfully reached the treasure point. The campsite soon echoed with their joyful cheers of our cubs.

With their treasure hunt complete, there was no time to slow down. The Cubs took to the field for a football match before moving on to a series of energetic obstacle games. Through every run, jump, and challenge, they encouraged one another, had plenty of fun and grew a little more confident along the way.

The pirate expedition of our Scouts continued the next day. Starting the morning with aerobics and Jumba, the crews fired up their pirate spirit with energy before setting off for their next challenge, Wave Ride. The challenge took them on a long hike through the forest, where they had to navigate trails and overcome obstacles to find their way like true explorers.

After the long journey through the forest, the crews moved on to Nature’s Keys, where the Scouts put their observation and calculation skills to the test. Measuring distances, estimating heights and relying on precision, they had to stay sharp and think like true captains.

With the challenges keeping everyone on their toes, the Scouts took a break to recharge with some exciting fun and games before setting off on their next adventure.

Finally, it was time for Treasure Hunt. Working together as a crew, the Scouts deciphered secret codes, followed mysterious maps, and put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test as they raced to uncover the hidden treasure.

The morning kicked off with a blast of energy as all the participants gathered around to exercise and dance to the beat of the music during the Morning Aerobics.

After Aerobics our Rovers took on their next big challenge, Hiking. Equipped with field books and compasses, the teams navigated a demanding trail across the training grounds.

After successfully concluding the hike they put their skills to the test by cracking the Code & Cipher challenge. It was an expedition filled with energy, problem-solving, and great teamwork.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to the First Aid Challenge. Conducted in two phases, teams demonstrated their practical lifesaving skills under pressure. With keen precision and confidence, participants executed various bandaging techniques and human carrying methods.

The afternoon of the first day of Towards the Golden Jubilee kicked off with an engaging Hiking Session for our Rovers. The teams mapped out routes, reviewed essential gear preparations and geared up for the upcoming expedition.

Next came the Pioneering Challenge conducted across three competitive phases. The challenge tested everything from basic and advanced knot-tying to teamwork. Teams put their practical skills into action by constructing functional camp gadgets to organize gear, utensils, and footwear. Every round was closely evaluated and scored by the camp officials.

To wrap up the day's activities, the Rover teams gathered for fun and games. Competition took a back seat as fellowship took over, filling the campsite with energy, laughter, and lasting memories.

With excitement in our hearts and spirits high, Towards the Golden Jubilee officially began with a grand opening ceremony. Seeing our Cubs, Scouts, and Rovers come together after such a long time to witness the opening of our group camp as one made the moment truly special. It was a beautiful celebration of togetherness and the enduring spirit of scouting, marking the beginning of a new journey filled with adventure, learning, and memories. As we take the first steps towards the Golden Jubilee our hearts are filled with pride, joy, and anticipation for all the moments and memories that lie ahead.

From the very first journey to the final moments our Cubs filled the camp with laughter, curiosity, courage, and friendship. Their little adventure began on the morning of 28th August, with the trip to the National Training Centre.

When they reached the campsite they stepped into the world of outdoor living. Their first challenge of the day was Campcraft through which they learned about tents, camp life, and the confidence and responsibility that come with it. They also learned essential safety skills through their second challenge, the Cub Safety Code session.

The day ended with the much-awaited Cubs Evening, where our Cubs prepared their own special ‘’মুড়ি মাখা” with chicken and proudly served it to the leaders, Scouts, and Rovers. More than the activities themselves, it was their laughter, teamwork, learning, and little moments together that made this camp truly special.
