Shout out to everyone who's not feeling their best at the moment here's some little tools to help you along the way 👣

1. Anxiety spike?
Look around and find 3 things that are completely still. Your nervous system begins to calm when your attention returns to the present moment.

2. Overthinking?
Say: “Not now.” Delays the thought for 10 minutes. Most anxious thoughts lose their power when you stop feeding them immediately.

3. No energy or motivation Stand up and clap your hands quickly 10 times. Move your body first—motivation often follows movement.

4. Feeling worthless? List 3 things you did right today.
Even the smallest wins remind your brain that you're making more progress than you realize.

5. Panic attack? Splash cold water on your face or hold something cold in your hands, eat a sour lolly. It can interrupt the body's panic response and help bring you back to the present.

6. Feeling emotionally overwhelmed? Take one deep breath and relax your jaw, shoulder, and hands. Stress doesn't only live in the mind—it lives in the body too.

7. Can't stop negative thoughts?
Ask yourself: “Is this thought helping me or hurting me?” Not every thought deserves your attention or belief.

8. Feeling lonely? Step outside, even for a few minutes. Sunlight and fresh air affect the mind more than most people realize.

9. Lost in life? You do not need perfect clarity right now. You only need one small step forward.

10. Feeling mentally exhausted? Rest without guilt. A tired mind often sees life as worse than it really is.

11. Wanting to give up?
Remember: your pain is temporary, not permanent. Some of your darkest days were survived by a version of you that almost gave up too.

12. Feeling like nobody understands you? Sometimes healing begins the moment you stop hiding your pain from everyone around you.

13. Feeling good? Share the love!!! Spread your vibes around and ask someone if they’re ok xx
Small habits save lives quietly.

Most people are waiting for a giant breakthrough...
when what they really need is a tiny moment of grounding, a deep breath, a little rest and the courage to keep going.

What happens when hundreds of people contribute to a single artwork?

Join artist Alice Rigby for Self Portrait as a House Plant, a unique two-day collaborative drawing project at The Write Gallery.

Across a series of artist-led workshops, participants of all ages will explore self-expression through experimental drawing, reflection, movement, memory, objects, emotions and mark-making, all while contributing to a giant 25-metre artwork created over 24 hours.

The finished artwork will then be revealed, before being carefully deconstructed and shared as part of the final experience.

No artistic experience required. Just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to be part of something bigger than yourself!
