The Darling Downs Revue is an annual two hour variety stage show performed by the Scouts and Girl Guides of the Darling Downs. The Darling Downs Revue started in 1991 and continued to 2001, where we had a brief recess and re-started in 2005. The format of the Show is essentially a variety show containing song, dance and short comedy sketches. The material used in the Show is always suitable for a

family audience. A typical show will include an opening number, some comedy sketches, several musical items with a mix of group and solo work, dance numbers and of course a finale. Some of our material is well known, other material is original to Gang Shows and Revues and some of our material is written locally. The Show is based on the Gang Show style introduced by the late Ralph Reader CBE, the original Gang Show producer, who went on to write many sketches and songs for Gang Shows. Our finale is always made up from material written by Sir Ralph Reader. If you are a Scout or Girl Guide, and would like to be in the Darling Downs Revue as either Cast or Crew please contact us. And if you are not a Scout or Girl Guide you can still enjoy our Show as a member of the audience.

🚚 WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Darling Downs R***e is moving to our NEW HOME — but first, we need to completely empty the current building!

📦 And pretty much EVERYTHING ELSE!
We need as many people as possible to help us get the building completely empty and everything safely moved into our new home.
Even if you can only spare an hour, your help will make a HUGE difference!
👟 Wear comfortable clothes and closed-in shoes and bring your moving muscles!
🙌 MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!

This will be an unorthodox post.
Are there any Leaders that are attending Nighthawk this coming weekend that are looking after their teams on home base, that might be able to assist us at the events canteen for a few hours while their team is out progressing the course.
We are in need of a few more hands at most times throughout the event so that the canteen runs smoothly, and the main staff can catch a few hours sleep during the night.
If you are to assist, either place a comment here, or come and see us at the canteen at the event.

When the Darling Downs R***e makes a promise, we keep it — and yes, the Chief Commissioner of Scouts Queensland got his flowers (Wattle of course). 💐 Don't test us. 😄
Last night's opening show was absolutely SPECTACULAR. The cast gave everything they had, the crew did amazingly, and the audience got to witness something truly special. We are SO proud of every single person who made that stage come alive. 🎭✨
But guess what? We get to do it ALL again TODAY — TWICE! 🙌

Dazzler has seen the to-do list and honestly? Same. The crew are working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything runs without a hitch, and the cast are running their lines, choreo and songs on repeat until their parents are asking "how long until the show again??" 😅
We are absolutely freaking out — in the best possible way — and we cannot WAIT to see you all at Highfields State School in just 4 days! 🛍️🎭✨

We held our scarf ceremony, presenting 30 scarves across our cast and crew — welcoming brand new members into the DDR family and celebrating years of service for our long-standing members, including an incredible 30 year scarf. 30 years of dedication to this production. Let that sink in. 🙌

We're talking chaos, comedy, and a cast that's been working SO hard — for YOU!. So make it happen.
