The Darling Downs Revue is an annual two hour variety stage show performed by the Scouts and Girl Gu

The Darling Downs Revue is an annual two hour variety stage show performed by the Scouts and Girl Guides of the Darling Downs. The Darling Downs Revue started in 1991 and continued to 2001, where we had a brief recess and re-started in 2005. The format of the Show is essentially a variety show containing song, dance and short comedy sketches. The material used in the Show is always suitable for a

family audience. A typical show will include an opening number, some comedy sketches, several musical items with a mix of group and solo work, dance numbers and of course a finale. Some of our material is well known, other material is original to Gang Shows and Revues and some of our material is written locally. The Show is based on the Gang Show style introduced by the late Ralph Reader CBE, the original Gang Show producer, who went on to write many sketches and songs for Gang Shows. Our finale is always made up from material written by Sir Ralph Reader. If you are a Scout or Girl Guide, and would like to be in the Darling Downs Revue as either Cast or Crew please contact us. And if you are not a Scout or Girl Guide you can still enjoy our Show as a member of the audience.

Mayhem At The Mall - Our 2026 R***e Production

Synopsis
When 9-year-old Chloe runs off from her sister and friends at the mall, she sets off on a mischievous adventure.

From a playful journey through the toy shop to confusion at the bank, high-energy fun in the arcade, and trouble in the tool store, Chloe leaves a trail of chaos behind her.

Meanwhile, her sister and friends split up to search the mall, facing their own comedic challenges and musical mayhem along the way.

The Darling Downs R***e is looking for band members to bring our show to life. If you love performing and want to be part of a fun, high-energy production, we’d love to hear from you.

We are especially looking for:

The production team had a working Bee today to get ready for our disco 27th and then our 2026 season.

We cant wait to see the costuming department looking amazing, our prop cupboards sorted and organised and our practice room looking amazing with our new mirrors
