Big news from Canberra today, with the announcement that LTCOL (AAC) Andrew Hayes from Western Australia has been appointed as the next National Assistant Commander, effective October 2026.

We congratulate LTCOL (AAC) Hayes on his appointment and look forward to working with him.

We also extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the outgoing National Assistant Commander, COL (AAC) Linda Galloway, for her passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our program.

COL (AAC) Galloway has been a true champion of Australia’s premier youth development program and a tremendous supporter of us here in South Queensland.

While the handover won’t take effect until late next year, we’re grateful for the opportunity to continue working with COL (AAC) Galloway over the months ahead—and to thank her properly for the impact she has made.

Thank you, Ma’am.
