Bright pops of colour and quirky characters are bringing Dayboro to life once again with the return of Dayboro Yarn Art in 2026!

Wander through town and you’ll find trees, fences and spaces transformed with creative, hand‑crafted displays celebrating the incredible talent and community spirit of our local makers.

A huge thank you to the volunteers and artists who make this much‑loved tradition possible each year. Another great reason to visit and support Dayboro this winter!

Samford Avenue of Honour – Proposed Fence Installation

Alongside RSL Brisbane North District, City of Moreton Bay is planning a new boundary fence along Mount Samson Road, as part of the Samford Avenue of Honour.

The proposed works are expected to extend from the western end of Burton Lane through to the entrance of the Samford Parklands Soccer Ground and reflect the rural character of the area.

This project is currently in the planning phase, with construction expected to take place in the next financial year, between July 2026 and June 2027. Further updates will be provided to nearby residents before construction begins.

Residents are invited to provide feedback or seek more information about the proposal.

To have your say, please contact Council on 3205 0555 or email [email protected]

City of Moreton Bay has scheduled road rehabilitation works along Winn Road, Mount Samson. The works are expected to commence early June and take nine weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The project will involve the repair of road pavement, replacement of the existing drainage infrastructure, and road resurfacing works along Winn Road, between 981 and Andrew Road, Mount Samson.

Please be assured that every effort will be made to minimise noise and any other impacts on surrounding properties, with works generally being undertaken during daytime hours between 7am and 6pm. Please observe the instructions of work crews and road signage, and plan your travel accordingly.

Traffic lights will be in place during construction works.

Due to the nature of works, residents’ access and traffic flow may be affected. City of Moreton Bay construction team will liaise directly with local residents to help facilitate access during construction.

Should you require any further information, please contact Council’s Construction Team Leader, Simon Punter, via 3205 0555 or [email protected]
