" Labor believes in education. We believe in equal opportunity, equality, and prosperity. Our 20% reduction in means that thousands of Australians will see the light at the end of the tunnel. " Emma Comer, Member for Petrie.

Labor's student debt reduction helps Australians who are struggling with cost of living, reach the next level. It's an excellent policy which we fully support.

Australia is creating a Domestic Gas Reservation Scheme, expected to start in 2027. It's a scheme that will require exporters of Australian gas to reserve between 15% and 25% of gas for the domestic market. This increases the supply of domestic gas, putting downward pressure gas prices for families and small businesses. It ensures Australia's natural resources are used in the national interest, while supporting our transition to renewable energy.

This helps with fairness, sovereignty, future made in Australia, net zero transition, and structural reform.

"More affordable Australian gas for Australian users will support our economy and our transition, while remaining a reliable energy partner to our region." - The Hon. Chris Bowen, Minister for Climate Change and Energy

Labor has introduced PayDay Super - which will be effective from July 2026.

Payday superannuation mandates simultaneous contributions with salary payments. Employers currently can pay superannuation quarterly, not aligned with pay schedules. This practise raises the risk of missing contributions. 1 in 4 Australian Workers were not paid the super they earned in 2022-23.

These reforms protect Australian Workers, and leave them better off, making sure you get to keep what you earn.

Moreton Bay Young Labor condemns the decision of the former LNP member for Petrie, Luke Howarth to share a post of Nick Fuentes who is a known neo-nazi who doesn't believe in the holocaust.

At a time when we should be standing with the Jewish community, reposting neo-nazis like Fuentes is disgusting behaviour.
