We loved hearing you gush (hyper-fixate) about your favourite characters and explain in exhaustive detail why you love them! Whether it was a talking horse, a sentient rock, a teen girl from the 1800s, a gay theatre kid, the Avatar, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the most frightening thing in all of fiction… a tall white man🧍‍♂️

And because I (Khang) am writing this caption and also worked on this event, he (I) have decided to, by popular demand, release my own work of (fan)fiction…

Join us for our ✨MiMS Character PowerPoint Night✨

Make a 5-10 minute presentation about any fictional character from any piece of media of your choice. You can do up to 3 characters for your presentation (so your doomed ship or iconic OT3 can get their time to shine 😉)

Talk about anything you want — just make it fun so that we don’t leave the event hating your problematic fave even more than the fandom already does!

🗓️: Friday, 15th May (Week 11)
⏰: 5PM start to 8PM finish
📍: TBD (follow our socials for updates on when a venue is confirmed!)

On Friday join UQMiMS and Underground Theatre Company for an evening of creativity, writing and sharing!

We'll have snacks on the day, example displayed poetry from members, and writing prompts.

This event is for you whether you're an experienced poet, write amateur poetry exclusively under the cover of darkness in your bedroom, or love the movie Dead Poets Society and just want to soak in the vibes ✍️🪶

We want to create a space for you to meet new people and explore. The level of interaction you have is completely up to you! You're welcome to come along just to chat, or see how you feel when you get there 😊
