UNIT UQ UNIT is Australia's largest student-run finance society, providing financial education and professional development.

UNIT’s UQ chapter was established in 2019 and is an active student run society. Our roots stem from Sydney and we have presence at all G08 universities in Australia. Although UNIT was originally geared towards those interested in investing and trading, we have since expanded to cater to those interested in all aspects of finance. We strive to provide financial education and personal development for students and experts alike through our educational seminars, promotion of career opportunities through our social media platforms, weekly publications and professional networking for students across a diverse range of degrees and majors.

1 WEEK TO GO!

Off the back of a very successful 2026, UNIT UQ is seeking eager and proactive students that are looking to expand their network and get involved in the daily operations of our society in 2027 through joining us as a Sub-Executive!

UNIT forms an Australia-wide network and is the nation’s largest finance society across six leading universities. As a society, we are dedicated to educating students about investing and trading, and strive to equip students with the necessary skills and network for a successful career in finance.

Our sub-executives have the opportunity to rotate across our teams throughout the year. Whether you’re working with our publications team in producing weekly market wraps, working with our operations team in putting on a networking event or assisting our sponsorship team with maintaining corporate relationships, you will experience the full breadth of what UNIT can offer from both a professional and personal standpoint.

Ideal applicants will:
- Have an interest in investing, trading, or finance more broadly
- Have at least two (2) years remaining in their university degree
- Have an ample amount of time available to commit to society-related activities
- Be a proactive and enthusiastic team player keen to contribute collectively
- Enjoy being part of a fun, supportive team who get involved in social events throughout the year.
