Look no further than the Queensland Emerging Planners’ (QEP) much-anticipated second annual pitch the plan event: Pitch the Plan: Brisbane’s Next Chapter🥇!
Only three days left to submit your Expression of Interest to the event! We invite you to pitch bold, visionary ideas that will define Brisbane for its next 20 years to a panel of ‘Sharks’!
Brisbane is entering a defining era with changes happening rapidly in real time. We encourage you to bring forward fresh ideas - innovative projects, policies, or urban interventions that will answer the question:
What decisive moves will define Brisbane’s next 20 years?
💡POTENTIAL IDEAS
· Are you working on a project that contributes to Brisbane’s long-term legacy?
· How is our community evolving, and what responses are required from planners and decision-makers to support its future?
· How can we better connect with, celebrate, and enhance Brisbane’s unique character and lifestyle?
· What kind of city do we want Brisbane to become—and what role should planning play in shaping that future?
You can really bring your area of passion to life here! Other areas of interest include placemaking, climate resilience, reinvented housing or some innovative entirely new strategies of imagining city life for Brisbane!
📌 THE DETAILS
What: a firm 5-minute pitch innovative project, policy, or urban intervention that will shape Brisbane and the wider region over the next two decades to a panel of ‘Sharks’
When: Thursday, 11 June 2026 | 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: QUT Gardens Point Campus, OJW Room - S Block Level 12, with informal networking drinks after at QUT Botanic Bar
Who: 1-2 speakers per pitch (we encourage collaboration such as mentor & mentee pairing!)
