Congrats Shiloh Sloane!

After engaging with AES late last year and joining our Drive to Thrive program, Shiloh completed her required logbook hours, passed her driving test and earned her Provisional 1 licence. Too Deadly! ❤️🖤💛

Shiloh has also begun a school-based traineeship through AES Group Training with host employer Dalaigur Pre-School and Children’s Services, studying a certificate III in Early Childhood Education while finishing her HSC.

Great work Shiloh! AES is very proud of your determination and progress toward independence and a career in early childhood education.

Tallara Taylor – A Young Aboriginal Leader Building Her Future Through AES ❤️🖤💛⭐️
Tallara is a proud young Gumbayngirr, Bundjalung and Yaegl woman,
first connected with the Aboriginal Employment Strategy (AES) after finishing high school. Like many young people stepping into adulthood, she was looking for guidance, opportunity, and a pathway that aligned with her
values and her community.

Tallara joined the AES Youth Crew, a leadership group created to elevate the
voices of young Aboriginal people across the region. The Youth Crew
provided a space for emerging leaders to share their ideas, experiences, and
aspirations to help shape better employment and training services for their communities. From the beginning, Tallara stood out for her maturity, insight, and commitment to strengthening opportunities for others.
Her involvement in the Youth Crew became a turning point. With growing
confidence and support from AES, Tallara began her employment journey
with a local Aboriginal out-of-home-care organisation. What started as a
casual role quickly progressed into fulltime employment, reflecting her work ethic, reliability, and natural ability to connect with and support others.
Now, Tallara is taking the next step in her development. She has enrolled in a
Certificate IV in Youth Work, building the skills and qualifications she needs to continue contributing to her community in a meaningful way.
