Attended Matt Keogh's Allied Health Consultation meeting at DVA yesterday with around 18 other senior members of SA ESOs.
The meeting went for 90 minutes with input from most attendees including why can't they just scrap the cap. Apparently it in not a cap, it is a threshold and those that need Allied Health Services above the $5k threshold will need to complete some form of application via their GP and service providers. The minister acknowledged several of our comments as useful points and notes were taken. All questions were answered, however the takeaway for me was they want written submissions, but they will introduce it in some form on 1 July 2027.
The SA ESO Consortium is meeting next week to draft a submission on behalf of those SA ESOs that are prepared to support the submission.

Prepare for Transition January to July 2027.
