As we count down to the HBF Run for a Reason on May 24, we want to shine a light on some of the incredible people choosing to run and fundraise for All Stars for Autism.
This is Rachel’s story ✨
“This will be our second year running the HBF Run for All Stars for Autism.
My son Cayden, who is also participating, was diagnosed with severe autism at 3 and a half years old. When we moved to Perth in 2020, Cara and Jo welcomed us into the All Stars for Autism family.
Since then, Cayden has taken part in bowling, the art program and mentor program. It’s the one place outside home where he can truly be himself and feel comfortable.
Not only Cayden, but our whole family has made lifelong friends through All Stars for Autism.
Cayden is now 14 and attends the Saturday art program, and my daughter Tanikia also works as a mentor on Thursdays.
All Stars for Autism holds a very special place in our hearts, and if we can help raise funds and awareness, we will.
Forever thankful to All Stars for Autism.”
Rachel, Cayden and Tanikia, thank you for sharing your journey with us and for being such a valued part of the All Stars family.
To every person running, fundraising, donating or supporting this year’s HBF Run for a Reason your support truly changes lives and helps us continue creating safe, supportive and inclusive spaces for autistic children, teens and families in our community.
We are so grateful for each and every one of you 🫶
