💗 WHAT A DAY! CARERS’ PLAY DAY 2026! 🎉

Today we celebrated Carers Week the All Stars way, with an afternoon full of laughter, games, prizes and plenty of fun at RISQ Small Bar Joondalup ⭐️

But the best part was seeing so many wonderful carers come together, share a laugh, make new connections and enjoy an afternoon that was all about THEM! 💕

This year’s National Carers Week theme is ‘Care for a Carer: Making Carers Visible’, a reminder of just how important it is to recognise, appreciate and celebrate the incredible people who care for others every single day.

At All Stars, we know how much our carers give to their families and communities. Creating opportunities for them to connect, have fun and feel celebrated is something very close to our hearts ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today. You made the afternoon so special! One of our lovely carers shared this beautiful feedback “This has been the most wonderful event. Thank you for looking after carers!!” 🩷

Come and support the fabulous Telethon weekend! 🌟 Our mentors will be at the Family Festival on Sunday - they’d love to say hello! And tickets for the show can be bought through ticketek. You can also attend the show from 10.30pm Saturday to 5pm Sunday for a gold coin donation. It’s inclusive fun for the whole family! 🙌 Thank you Telethon7 Perth ❤️

What a magical day at Fairytales in the Park! 🧚‍♀️✨

Disney characters, singalongs, our All Stars stall and sensory area - a beautiful community event in Hyde Park 🌳

One of the most beautiful moments was hearing our amazing mentors share their experiences and what it means to mentor and support younger autistic children. 💙 Their voices, stories and willingness to share are helping foster greater understanding, acceptance and a sense of belonging.

A heartfelt thank you to Elle Enchanted for inviting All Stars for Autism to be part of such a magical day and for helping us spread awareness, celebrate neurodiversity and create a world where every child feels seen, accepted and supported. ✨

✨ What an incredible evening at our 2026 Telethon Teen Mentoring Program Art Exhibition! ✨

Our talented autistic mentors and mentees proudly showcased their creativity through a stunning collection of group, collaborative and individual artworks at Joondalup Resort - Golf | Weddings | Dining ⭐️

We were honoured to welcome our special guests, Emily Hamilton MLA, City of Joondalup Mayor Daniel Kingston, Tom French MP and his beautiful wife Clare and Ravi from the Joondalup Business Association ⭐️ Thank you all for joining us to celebrate the incredible achievements of our young artists! 🌟 Emily Hamilton Tom French for Moore Daniel Kingston

A huge thank you to Telethon7 Perth for their generous support of this program and for helping us create opportunities for autistic young people to connect, develop friendships and express their creativity! 🎨

Thank you also to our amazing Artist in Residence Renee McAlpine from oceanside_art_studio whose care, support and talent shaped a wonderful term and exhibition! Also special thanks to our Adult Mentor Anthony Pyle, Claire from Spectrum Centre, our incredible Program Manager Nicky, our dedicated All Stars team and all the wonderful families who joined us to celebrate this special evening! 🌈

We are so incredibly proud of our mentors and mentees and everything they have achieved throughout the program! 💗

We’re starting a new monthly series to help our All Stars community get to know the wonderful people behind the scenes a little better. 💛

First up is our fabulous Program Coordinator, Nicky!

A few little things you might not know about Nicky…

🐾 What is your favourite way to spend the weekend?

“A trip to Whitfords Dog Beach with my golden retriever, Iris.”

✈️ Where is your dream travel destination?

“A trip around Europe - Spain, Italy, Croatia and the Greek Islands would be at the top of my list. I’d also love to do an African safari, visit New York City and take the train to Machu Picchu in Peru.”

😊 What’s one thing that always makes you smile?

“Iris, my golden retriever.”

🌟 What do you love most about working at All Stars?

“I especially love seeing the kids and their parents form friendships, with the kids being free to be themselves in a safe environment. It’s lovely when parents say their child was only going to come once to see what it’s like, and then they return week after week excited to catch up with new friends and try new things.”

We’re so lucky to have Nicky as part of our All Stars team, helping create a space where our kids can feel safe, supported and free to be themselves. 💛

CARERS’ PLAY DAY! 💗

Because we all need a little fun every now and then…

This Carers Week, join us for a FREE afternoon of fun, laughter and connection, just for YOU!

Think bingo, games, musical quizzes, raffles, fantastic prizes and plenty of laughs and nostalgia.

No workshops. No serious stuff. Just a chance to take some time out, have a laugh and enjoy the company of other carers who get it!
