This weeks meeting was laughs all round with Andrew delivering our education piece, then Kaid delivering a very puntastic pitch; both leaving the room in stitches.

Rightfully so, Kaid took out the golden mic for his humorous pitch.

Kate Rafton from Rafton Family Lawyers was our feature presenter this week. Kate shared her experience surrounding family law, including the staggering statistics in Australia around women and children violence.

The speaker prize draw saw Kaid winning, 2 from 2 is quite impressive! Well done Kaid.

At BNI Riverside, our Charity seat is upheld by Emma from Fight for their Future Foundation - a Penrith local charity raising funds to support neurodivergent children and their education journey. FFTFF's main goal is to raise enough funds to be able to build preschool and early learning centre's that are focused on providing a safe space for neurodivergent schools; something our community is missing.

But the charity wants to provide for these children asap, so have set milestone goals to achieve. The first goal is to open a roving educational bus that delivers a range of activities and education opportunities for neurodivergent kids in our community. To help on the way to their goal, Fight for their Future Foundation have created SpecFest.

SpecFest is a community fundraiser aimed at raising some much needed funds so they can hit milestone one. It will be held in the heart of Penrith in October and the foundation are looking for sponsors! Sponsorship starts at just $500 and is completely tax deductible.

If you, your family or friends are affected by autism, you will know how important this charity is. If you're able to sponsor or even just want to get behind the charity with a donation, reach out.

This week's meeting had lots of new faces in the room visiting us for the first time or subbing for some of our members. This week, Con from Freedom Finance educated the group on the importance of being innovative and not staying stagnant in business. Something sometimes we forget once feeling comfortable.

Feature presenter this week was James from Foster Wealth who spoke about what the team at Foster Wealth do, how they can support and ran through a few different case studies of clients and what they have done to ultimately grow their wealth. Everyone in the room certainly had their brains clicking! Well done James.

Golden mic was awarded by James to Drew for his interactive pitch and incorporating more than just his voice into his pitch. Speaker prize draw from last week was awarded from Drew from Milex Technology, who gave away a JBL speaker - the winner was James. And then this weeks draw was a gift card, awarded by James and won by Jade from JST Marketing.

Last week's meeting was a full room with lots happening. Gerard from Abundance Call took out the Golden Mic this week for his "I've asked you 100 times" relatable pitch.

Feature presenter this week was Drew from Milex Technology. Drew shared with us how easy it is to utilise your Microsoft subscription to its fullest potential, protect your business through integrated security measures and how not-for-profit's can benefit from the schemes available from Microsoft.

Everyone in the room was comparing Drew's first presentation to this one and everyone was in agreeance on his growth presenting in front of a room full of people. That is what BNI is all about; growing your skills, getting comfortable with the uncomfortable and getting better in business. Well done Drew!
