MLCF began with husband and wife team, Roger and Lana, who realised there was a great need in our local community to help the homeless and less fortunate members of our community. We also provide emergency disaster food relief to our emergency services. Roger and Lana both work full time, have seven children aged 9-30 years old, four grandchildren and five well loved dogs. We provide a meal servic

e to the Penrith homeless and less fortunate 6 nights a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights from 7-8pm ( during covid ) as well as supplying toiletries, clothes, tents sleeping bags and blankets along with lots of support with the help of our team of volunteers and support from the community. We receive no ongoing government funding, and exist solely via one-off grants, as well as corporate and private donations. We want to let these beautiful patrons know that there are people out there that truly care. We want to help them get back their self respect and dignity so that they eventually get back on their feet. We also help with catering and personal care packs for our emergency services during times of emergency disasters. We are a registered not-for-profit charity and accept ALL donations of any kind, including cash which we can issue a tax deductible receipt for. Donations can be made here:

Donations needed, can you Please help?
Mama Lana’s have been blessed with volunteer Megan, who luckily for us - just happens to Love keeping our stock room in order😇.

Megan has let me know that we are running a little low on some of our staples that are on a high rotation.
For those wishing to donate.
This week we are getting low on:

-Passata
-minced garlic
-cream cheese
-cream cheese spread
-Worcestershire sauce

Any donations are always so greatly appreciated, and can be dropped to the little White House ( 56 Woodriff st, Penrith)

Donation times:
Monday to Wednesday
7am till 1pm
Thursday and Friday
9am till 1pm
Monday to Saturday
7pm till 8pm

We have been excited to have children and the staff from two of our local childcare centres visit Mama Lanas premises to see what we do. Each centre has brought with them generous donations of items for us to use in producing our 300 hot meals each night.

The NSW Government has extended funding for the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS), helping households across NSW access support when they need it most.

NILS provides safe, fair loans with no interest, fees or charges for essential goods and services.

You can borrow:
✅ up to $2,000 for essentials such as fridges, beds, medical costs or car repairs
✅ up to $3,000 for housing needs including bond, rent in advance or disaster recovery.

More than $18 million in loans were delivered last year, with 89% already repaid, highlighting the strength of this community-based program.

You may be eligible if you:

• are on a low income
• receive a pension
• have experienced domestic or family violence in the past 10 years
• support a family earning up to $100,000 a year
• are single and earning up to $70,000 a year.

NILS is available through 56 providers across NSW.
