What a great day out for our new CS students! 🌟

Today, our students took part in a treasure hunt around Penrith, visiting a range of local services and learning more about the support available within our community!

They also had the opportunity to visit Penrith Local Court, making it a fantastic day of learning, exploring and gaining valuable experience.

As part of our road trip, we’ll be delivering a NO-COST Traffic Offenders Intervention Program (TOIP) at Port City Bowling Club!

🚗 EXCITING NEWS — LINK IS HEADING TO PORT MACQUARIE! 🧡

In early November, the Link Foundation AOD team will be hitting the road and heading up to Port Macquarie!

While we’re there, we’ll be connecting with local services and, most importantly, delivering a FEE-FREE, FACE-TO-FACE Traffic Offenders Intervention Program (TOIP) at Port City Bowling Club.

We currently have 20+ spots available, but places are limited! If you need to complete TOIP and would prefer to attend face-to-face at NO COST, this is your chance.

What a great final week our students are having! 🎓✨

Today, our AE students shared their Aboriginal presentations and did such a great job! There were lots of questions, conversations and learning along the way. 👏🏽

They officially have just 2 more days left with us before they finish up their placement.

Well done to all of our AE guys, you have been such a wonderful bunch to have with us and we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved! 💙

Thank you for bringing this critical issue to light, Cate Faehrmann. At Link Foundation, we find these reports deeply concerning.

Lead exposure—especially in environments dedicated to young children—poses severe long-term risks to physical, cognitive, and emotional health. Families and childcare workers deserve full transparency, immediate clear health guidance, and proactive support to address the potential impacts on child development and family well-being.

We strongly support calls for complete transparency, immediate remediation of affected sites, and regular health screenings for the impacted children and families in Broken Hill. Every community deserves a safe and healthy environment to grow and thrive in.

The more we learn about how much the EPA knew about the extent of lead contamination in the soil at childcare centres and preschools in Broken Hill, the more angry I become. Why the hell wasn't NSW Health notified? Let alone the parents?

The Greens are calling for a root-and-branch inquiry into the NSW EPA - supposedly the environment watchdog - as to whether they are fit to regulate polluting industries and keep communities and the environment safe. The EPA, and the Government, have failed the people of Broken Hill and it's time they were held to account. Story in the comments.

Yesterday our students had the opportunity to hear from Youth Platform in Penrith! 🙌

It was a great chance for our students to learn more about the services they provide, the work they do within the community and how they support young people. It gave our students some really valuable insight into the different services available locally and how they can connect clients with the right supports.

A big thank you to the Youth Platform team for taking the time to come and speak with our students, we really appreciate it! 💙

WOW, what a day! 🙌

Today our students had a massive day at court, gaining firsthand insight into the justice system and hearing directly from the Commander of Parramatta Police and the MACLO.

What an incredible experience and such a valuable opportunity for our students to learn, ask questions and gain a better understanding of the system and the people working within it.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to speak with our students and make today possible! 👏💙
