The Y NSW (YMCA NSW) is a not-for-profit organisation working to create healthier, happier and connected communities. Est. 6 June 1844

We deliver services in over 100 locations across NSW and the ACT including camps, outside school hours care, community recreation and sporting facilities, swimming pools and youth services. We also run specialised community programs for vulnerable adults, siblings separated in out of home care and people with disabilities or special needs. Brightside, SwimAbility and our Youth and Government initiative are examples of unique community programs run by the Y NSW (YMCA NSW). With a commitment to delivering healthy living programs and empowering children and young people to reach their potential, we strive to ensure that every person has access to learn, grow and thrive. We cultivate the health and happiness that arises from being positive and valued members of close communities and from taking part in physical activity.

This week at The Y got a little spooky 🎃 Children and Adults all dressed up in their favourite Halloween costumes and joined in on themed activities across our centres, from games and crafts to sport, swimming and group fitness classes. The Y community inspires everyone to have fun, try new skills and stay active. Thanks to everyone who got into the spirit. Happy Halloween from The Y! 🧡👻

As Children’s Week begins today, we celebrate the rights of all children to be safe, feel a sense of belonging, and thrive.

This year’s theme, 'Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practice their religion', reminds us of the importance of creating spaces where every child feels respected, included and empowered to be themselves.

That commitment is reflected in our Prioritising Child Safety campaign across the Y NSW's OOSH services, which helps ensure child safety remains at the forefront of everything we do.

Across our early learning, OOSH, youth programs, recreation and community programs, we strive to create spaces where children feel they belong, can reach their full potential, and lead inspired lives.
