The Treaty of Sèvres was signed on the 10th of August 1920 when the Western Allied Powers in Paris signed a treaty in an attempt to enact peace and redefine the borders of the collapsing Ottoman Empire.

Within the Treaty, the borders of Armenia included Erzurum, Bitlis, Van, and Trabizon as access to the Black Sea, which are not presently part of the modern Republic of Armenia.

Although not ratified, the Treaty of Sèvres remains a valid international treaty. It holds Turkey accountable for war crimes, mandates punishment for wrongdoers, enforces property restitution, and establishes arbitration for the Armenia-Turkey border through US President Wilson, remaining legally binding with property return obligations.

From legendary champions like Tigran Petrosian, the “Iron Tigran,” to the many Armenian players who continue to inspire generations, chess has become a defining part of Armenian culture and identity.

A game built on strategy, patience, and resilience, chess reflects values that have been passed down through generations and continue to shape Armenian minds around the world.

It's been over 1000 days since the political and military leaders of Artsakh, alongside dozens of Armenian prisoners, were illegally captured and taken to Baku, Azerbaijan.

1,000+ days of isolation and sham trials. 2,000+ days of captivity for some who have endured this even longer.

Targeted simply for defending their indigenous homeland and their people's right to live free.

The Armenian Youth Federation of Australia demands the immediate and unconditional release of ALL Armenian hostages.

💭 A timeless reminder from Karekin Njdeh that the greatest threat to a nation often comes not from external forces, but from internal apathy, division, and the abandonment of national values.

His words call on Armenians to remain principled and committed to preserving our identity, culture, and collective aspirations, while steadfastly pursuing justice with dignity and purpose.
