🌟 Back2School | Week 8, Term 2 🌟
Week 8 at Back2School we celebrated something really special — one of our young people stepped up and took the reins, delivering sessions to the class! 🙌
Building confidence, leadership skills and the ability to share knowledge with others is such an important part of what we do. Watching our young people grow, take ownership and recognise their own strengths is what makes these moments so valuable. 💙
Our week was filled with learning, connection and practical skills. Young people continued strengthening literacy and numeracy skills through spelling, sentence structure, times tables, reading activities and maths support, while also continuing to develop their EIF projects and individual learning goals.
We explored important life skills through First Aid, learning about asthma, allergies and snake bite response, and our Health & PE sessions focused on choices, peer pressure and decision making through discussions, activities and teamwork.
We were lucky to welcome the Salvation Army “Money Matters” team for a specialist session focused on financial literacy and practical skills that young people can carry into everyday life.
Our hands-on learning continued with Tool Time, where students worked on bikes, Lego, puzzles, craft and creative activities — building teamwork, problem solving and confidence along the way.
We also cooked, planned meals, practised household organisation skills and finished the week with Wellbeing Wednesday, focusing on cyber safety, online choices and staying safe in digital spaces.
Another week of learning, growth, connection and celebrating our young people at Back2School 💙
