This echidna made its way from Katherine to our clinic. It was hit by a car but x-ray showed no broken bones and even more important no broken beak. It had several minor wounds and is treated with painkillers and antibiotics. After a couple of days in care it will go back to Katherine and be released in the same area where it was found. Luckily it had a lot of people caring for it, so it got help and a second chance.

It is always a pleasure to see them having their first meal. This eagle came in hit by a car and we didn't know if he would survive. X-ray showed no breaks but he certainly had sift tissue damage. After three days in intensive care he is now with a carer for rehab.

This little brushtail possum was handed in to us today. Dehydrated and only 60g heavy. After receiving fluid therapy and special milk he was stable enough to be handed over to a wildlife carer. Thanks for bringing him in, he now has a second chance. # babypossum

Our vet Hannah recently treated a long-neck turtle who was sadly hit by a car. The impact caused damage to the shell, with splinters that needed to be carefully removed, followed by delicate stitching to help the healing process.

We’re happy to share that this tough little patient is now recovering well 💪✨

Please remember to slow down near waterways and roads, especially during wildlife movement times—your awareness can save lives.

Tawny Frogmouth are certainly one of our favourite birds. This little one was just found on the ground, we couldn't find any issues, maybe he was just exhausted. After a final check he will go back out again

The day changed for this little agile wallaby, when his mum was hit by a car and died. Luckily the next person stopped and rescued him. In the clinic he was vet checked, received an Xray and some painkillers for minor brushing. He is now with an experienced carer and will receive a lot of TLC and will hopefully be release into the wild when he has grown. A big thankyou to the person who stopped and brought him in
